Once again this season, I see the Championship is a four horse race to get promoted.
Nothing in it between the top 4 clubs and then there's a 9-point gap to 5th place.
When, not if, we go down - I'd like to think that we'd be amongst the leading pack next time around. Hopefully the Summer will see wholesale changes in the squad with some of the shirkers/loafers/utterly useless/gutless players leaving.
It'll be all about the new additions as to whether or not we yo-yo back up again... and SR's ability to acquire said players. Hopefully Juric will still be here and have a say in that.
And then there's the two derby games against that lot down the M27. What's not to like? |

Only a mass alien invasion of planet Earth would prevent us from finishing this season with a single digit points tally and put us out of our misery - thus preventing us becoming the laughing stock of the footballing world yet again...as if the two nine-nils weren't embarrassing enough already.

In 50-plus years of following Saints, hand on heart, this is THE worse team I have ever seen... and f@ck me there have been some poor teams over the years.
That Derby County record of eleven pitiful points is looking safer with each passing week. |

I don't know about anyone else - but I just can't get any enthusiasm or future hope for the club, all the while we have Sport Republic as owners.
It feels like we're just drifting along, going from one bad decision after another, whether that be choice of manager or squad additions not being good enough. It feels like the board are hopelessly out of their depth & no one is able to make the right decision in the boardroom.
We're a toy, a Guinea pig, an experiment. |
