Get a feeling that side gets thwapped at the set piece, especially against a Champ side who will target it. Average height there is about 4ft 6".
Would like it if we put some effort in again this season as is likely to be our main chance for Europe. Also of the belief that we are better when we play often and consistently. Free weeks like International breaks do us no favours and some players are not yet 100% match fit

If we do ok in the COC and FA cups, we're looking at around 60 games this season. That seems to be a lot for modern pro footballers!
Liverpool, when they were good (and sent out a fairly settled side most weeks ) managed that many games and won things. Modern pro's don't seem that hardy!
I expect a lot of rotation and that we'll put out a strong, but very different team, at Birmingham. I think Tremmel, Jazz, Tiendalli, Lamah, and maybe a surprise youngster, will start.

The League Cup fulfilled it's purpose last year. It gave us our first trophy and got us into Europe. It's not a priority this year, with League being most important followed by Europe, with the FA Cup a distant third and the League Cup an even more distant fourth. |  |
