Match thread on 17:34 - Dec 29 by Bantam | Maybe so, hopefully some of those that were chanting it will read this and take note next season. As for the match full credit to Dale, you outplayed and out muscled us well out of the game and scored some great goals apart from one where our goalkeeper made a hash of it, even at 3-2 down i knew we were going to get beat, your midfield totally bossed things. Gary Jones had a quiet game although he got a nice reception from the Dale fans. Villa got stuffed again today, maybe their bad spell has come a couple of weeks too early for us. thanks anyway |
In all seriously Bantam where you alive and kicking when the fire occured? Or are you simply having a go? A very personal friend, a Dale supporter, was present in the main stand that day and survived. Please do not be so sensitive. If you have a gripe start a new thread. And what happened to that idiot supporter who made a personal attacks on-line against our Chairman when Will Buckley took you to the cleaners at Spotland a few years ago? Do we bear a grudge? Well I don't. Did you go home after the game and kick the cat to death? RSVP.

Yes i was there that day and lost a friend, not a close friend but a friend nevertheless. I don't have a gripe now, the other posters explained what the chant was about.
Match thread on 17:59 - Dec 29 with 1653 views | KenBoon | That really is a common chant. It's up there with "i want to go home, i want to go home [town name] is a s**thole i want to go home". Given the amount of times Bradford have been tonked at home over the past few years i'm sure you've heard it before.

On that performance i can see Dale overtaking City in the playoff places. Dale were very solid and in my opinion the best team to visit Valley Parade this season. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Never ever heard it before, maybe other visiting fans have more tact and don't sing it.

Well on todays performance it's certainly an upward trend i'd say, Coleman has a fantastic record against Bradford teams, he's never ever been on the losing side against a City or Avenue team.

A bad day for footie, along with Ibrox and many others. We must never forget that V.P. and other incidents thereafter in the UK changed the face of English football. Good luck for the rest of the season.

And the ignorance of our own fans is acknowledged. Don't understand how you can have a go at Bantam about 'ignorance' when he hasn't heard a chant before in this scenario, when the display of 'ignorance' has come from the Dale fans. Just foolish and thoughtless as others have pointed out, not malicious or meant to cause offence.

Not having a go at him/her, merely pointing out that his/her ignorance is acknoledged. Just because I used the word "ignorance" does not make it a derogatory term. Hope this clears it up for you ATP.
