Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : Match day thread on 09:38 - Jan 5 by onehunglow | Maybe, they could utilise him in a way that suits him as he can finish and that is what we need. Many great strikers have been “ lazy” nit that he is anything other than ordinary Would it be better to bring Jerry back ? Either way, we have brought in duds. It is about polishing a turd . |
I would prefer Myko back. Can get money for Jerry now. Get rid. Keep Vipi, Myko, Cullen, Bianchini. This may seem weird but I liked Josh Thomas when he has been given pitch time here. I would be happy with those lot developing. Maybe try another Bianchini type on a cheap in January for more competition/development.

Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : Match day thread on 13:41 - Jan 5 by onehunglow | Why buy raw |
Buy raw. Cook yourself. Then sell for higher. If you buy ready cooked, they are over priced and usually are over processed and lack the nutrients required, hence then having to waste money on supplements.

Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : Match day thread on 13:52 - Jan 5 by union_jack | I want him out because he’s not good enough. If he was good enough and wanted out I’d want him to stay. |
So you think we are underachieving with this squad?

Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : Match day thread on 14:09 - Jan 5 by jack247 | It’s a results business. The results have been better than they should have given the players he has. Whether the method behind getting those results is frustrating is a secondary consideration. One injury and we’ve got Cyrus Christie at centre back. |
I agree. We don’t have competition or cover for injuries. Our squad is threadbare. Do people honestly think this squad should be higher in the league and challenging play offs? If that’s the case, a couple more signings in January and we will be a premier league squad, being hindered by an amateurish management team. Personally don’t think Alex Ferguson could get us in the promotion places with this squad.

I do. We. Have given away at least eight points this season. That is down to Willaima and the way he coaches and sets up our team . There

Yes, unfortunately some people do. They can’t see past the starting eleven

Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : Match day thread on 15:26 - Jan 5 by RichardO | Would be happy to have one up top If you have the the likes of Key, Ronald and Eom in the team I think if you hold the ball clever enough they can join a counter attack quickly similar to Lowe getting onto the long ball and waiting for Key to arrive and score a cracking goal. Especially if teams are at the bottom of the league and struggling to defend. Remember Cundle( know you were not a fan) running at the defensive and getting into the box he made a hash of his shot and in the confusion the forward moving Cooper(again another who you have express an opinion isn't the answer) with his reaction scored even in the tight areas attacked the confusion caused meant openings we capitalised on. Lampard's shots in and around the box because of the confusion caused by others earned him a lot of goals often deflection but they all count. Opinions are opinions most of us try and explain our rational. Unless you try to play the tight passes how do you know if you can play them consistently or not. We don't play them on the edge of the box that often when we do we have seen results but that might impact of a players passing stats and prove him a bad player. William's has now said we have to be controlled in our attack but that doesn't mean we slow it down so much as to lose any advantage we have gained. [Post edited 5 Jan 15:36]

I would love to see Cundle back here permanent. Also enjoyed Coopers improvements this season. Add ginelly, Parker, govea and we have a decent forward line. A lot of potential, yet little proven. It’s what we are about these days

Well, the coach and players . So, he wins and gets plaudits ,he loses and gets brickbats . You’ve got it now. Now then, honest coaches will admit this . I’d avoid your best Waterford crystal when he leaves .

That’s how it should be. Have you ever given him any credit though? Completely accept that there are those that will never criticise him either. Same goes for Grimes.

Not sure about Govea but I can't remember seeing him start a game what I liked about Parker was he adapted his game to try and get the best of the defenders who were marking him, could compete aerially even though not the tallest, happy to try and drive down the wings and one game where he had no joy with that, pulled the fullback onto their weaker foot by cutting inside and we scored off it to win the game.(That tactical change was made at half time possible at the request of Sheehan who was acting manager at the time shame his last game in charge was against Southampton where Wood gave a stupid pass back to Rushworth who made a hash of the clearance which led to the second which killed the game off) [Post edited 6 Jan 11:37]

Nothing any of us say affect the team. Plaudits when he wins and brickbats when he loses isn’t really true is it?

Sure. I think he makes a lot of mistakes and can be too rigid in both his tactics and substitutions. He often doesn’t react when teams change their setup to suit the way the game is playing out. Overall, he has a very limited squad and has done very well to steer us to practical safety. He’s proved he can set us up not to concede and he can set us up to score. He’s really struggled to get both at the same time. I thought we may be in relegation danger in the summer, so did you. If he stays and keeps us up, he will have exceeded both our expectations. However, I don’t like bad apples at the club. While what he did wasn’t as bad as what Whittaker and Obafemi did, they are players, he’s running the show. I want him out based only on that. Your truth?
Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : Match day thread on 12:39 - Jan 6 with 377 views | RichardO | A bog standard squad but take a number of key players out of it and it does look as I we have to rely on the old guard Fulton, Allen, Naughton and Christie to fill in for injured players add Grimes and Pedersen into the higher age profile of the squad then there are 6 players who are going to have to be replaced in the very near future add Darling into the mix that is 7 players 8 now Abbey has gone back and 9 when Pearl-Harris leaves, Parker, Cooper and Ginnelly make it 12 who are or possibly will be missing add the usual injuries we can expect from Cabango and Key both have had issues in the past that is 14 and then you have the unexpected issues like Franco make it 15, all in all that is a big number of players that are missing and will be missing or just unable play, add the lack of younger players because in the push to get back into the Premier league or stave off relagation from rhe Championship very few have been picked effectively , hard to juggle around to keep the standard of the first 11 up let alone the squad. Yes William's wants to try and play in a certain way but trying to make up for a poor midfield has been tried since relegation by various managers with various degrees of sussess and failure. Don't think this is a season to go up but one to try and grow the strength of the first team, let alone the squad and carry that improvement into the next season, will need some shrewd transfer management now followed up in the next window. Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion : Match day thread on 15:49 - Jan 6 with 246 views | ReslovenSwan1 | There have been numerous juicy aerial crosses out in by Ronald and Tymon in particular that Cullen and Bianchini have messed up. Cullen mistimed another on Saturday a bit far out. Big Myk might have buried a couple of those plus been a benefit in defence.
