Good report. Enjoyed reading one where I thought we played well. Overall agree with the sentiment that this was our best ‘performance’ of the season. Really noticeable over the last 2 games how the team seems more together and having each others back which is great to see.
The only area I’d probably disagree is Paul Smyth. I didn’t see it as his best performance of the season, in fact I thought his end product/final ball was regularly disappointing. I remember one great cut back to Saito but that’s about it. Saw a fair bit of effort and some good defensive work but struggled to get any decent delivery into the box and seemed a bit wasteful with the basics. A game of opinions though and perhaps I’m being harsh on the lad. He has pace which as we all say is massively lacking in this team but I do want more from him. |  | |  |

Really good and fair report for an enjoyable match and great support. But how did we miss those sitters? Madson's miss was bizarre for a right footed play.
The only thing I'd add is that when Fox came on a left back we were lucky to get away without conceding. He is far too slow, and that seemed a poor substitution. |
I see the logic behind getting someone bigger on to try and stop Baah as the lad's a monster - he went through Saito like Jonah Lomu went through Tony Underwood in 95. The only saving grace for us was his final ball repetoire seems to consist entirely of smashing it into his teammates bolloçks/throat from 12 yards. Made Smyth look like Bardsley at points. |  | | |

Enjoyable 0-0 I suppose but there was much punching of the sofa and wails of distress chez Chef, as we passed up every great chance. Ashby most culpable of the lot, all he had to do was sidefoot the ball either side of the keeper but he just thrashed at it instead.

Great report Clive misses looked even worse second time round, felt Morrison the worst.
A mate of mine is a Watford season ticket holder ( man and boy) he felt we should have had it wrapped up at half time. So an opponents view “ I really like that tall midfield player you have something of the Hoddle in the way he passes”
Not saying I agree, but Glen wasn’t the best tackler either.
Before I am shot that is not my opinion, he also loved Saito and Jimmy and Nardi and tbh most of the team, bar Paal as he didn’t go there | | | |

Infuriating watching him a lot of the time. He'll often do a lot of good work to get to the byline but from there it's always a lottery at best as to what his cross/pass/shot is going to be.
Does a lot of covering work defensively as well tbf and as well as pace, he has stamina to get through the game up and down his wing, but I wish he could produce a better end product |  |

I think you're missing my point, Clive, in regard to your own self-esteem and well-being, which is what I was trying to support. Yes, I can be reactive to little things like being called, ooh let's think about last week alone, a troll, a pornographer, and a narcissist by people who've never met me and just want to be abusive (while projecting their own nastiness onto me), but try not to exaggerate and perhaps be a little more fair-minded! If you look back, you'll see many, many positive posts/polls/little think pieces from me here going back quite a long way and that are hugely supportive of this site, and of your excellent work on it.

I agree on Madsen he is improving, nice and tidy on the ball, starting to get things moving forward. Think if we take a step back he was thrown straight into the team without any pre-season with QPR joined on the Friday I think then straight into the Plymouth game and we know that the Championship is a tough league. Not prepared to write him off just yet. |  | | |

One of the points that I've made a few times. Nardi has settled quickest and performed best, but he was the most experienced, and he was signed first so has spent the most time with the team/coaching staff. | | | |
