He's 18 and Martin keeps taking him off ( to protect him apparently). [Post edited 24 Nov 17:46]

Think Dibbling needs protecting from Martin.
Dibbling on 18:04 - Nov 24 with 890 views | GRIM | I've thought for a long time that our players are just not fit enough, they all seem to fade & struggle to last 90 mins + that is why we regularly concede goals late in the game. If you haven't got the best players then the first thing a coach should do is get them 110% fit. If you can't match the opposition for quality you can make up for it with fitness. I'd like to know how much time the players had off during the international break.

Dibbling on 20:33 - Nov 24 with 569 views | dirk_doone | Dibling lasted OK. The problem was that at the end he was under instruction to play deep in his own half and defend. I've seen Russell Martin shouting at him, telling him to get back. If he'd been allowed to stand on the halfway line when Liverpool were camped in our half near the end, there was one occasion when we got the ball and a long pass to him would have seen him through unchallenged on goal to make it 3-3. Instead he got the ball passed to him near our own corner flag. The one who didn't last was Onuachu. That first half was the best he's ever played for us, but you could see he'd had enough and didn't want to play the 2nd half. I'm very sceptical about that injury as I've seen him feign injury before when he wanted to come off. After all that shenanigans with the stretcher, he walked off without a limp, admittedly looking very tired. Even if either of them was totally exhausted, they'd still make more of a contribution than Ugochukwu. It's almost like being reduced to 10 men when he comes on the pitch. Total waste of space. Russell's substitutions clinched the game for Liverpool in the end. It will probably be best for Dibling to move to another club as Russell Martin is trying to spoil his natural game, which is to take on defenders and attack the opposition goal, not pass sideways and backwards or be an extra defender. A better manager will give him free reign to use his exceptional talent. [Post edited 24 Nov 21:12]

You are spot on re Martin getting on Dibling’s back - there was a break in play this afternoon with the score at 2-2 and you could see Martin having a go at Dibling face to face by the touch line. You could see Dibling didn’t agree with what he was being told to do and did have his say back but Martin was insistent so it ended with Dibling shrugging and gesturing as if to say what is the point? I reckon at 18 Dibling has a better footballing brain than the oaf Martin and certainly more of an idea how to play the game knowing his own ability. As you have pointed out, a perfect opportunity presented itself near the end to have got him away and quite possibly get the equaliser, that is, if we didn’t have such a numpty for a manager… Because of his love for SFC I thought we might have half a chance of him staying here for a while as he feels so at home here but every week Martin isn’t sacked the less likely that becomes…

I saw that look on Dibling's face. Martin and his whole crew need to go. Didn't our Goalkeeping coach have a problem with the ref second half? Goalkeeping coach!you have to laugh or cry. Ugochukwu for Tall Paul was crazy with Archer sat on the bench.

Yes, that substitution when Ugochukwu came on instead of a forward was one of those "Oh no" moments.

Yep quality player. Dibling will be playing for big 6 club in 2/3 years by 1teeminants 3 Aug 18:49I’m still in London, Dibling was quality. Chelsea thanks for that 😀.
He will be something special this kid . Everyone’s raving about him. He reminds me of Le Tiss ffs he went on a mazy run and no one could stop him and his close control is brilliant . Apart from him it was pretty dull tbh . Yes I’ve had a few ffs 🍺🍺🍺

Did Tall Paul have a touch in the opposition box ? He had a battling game in the centre circle , that isn't his fault, his style isn't suited to Russell Martin's game, but he is a striker who has barely had a touch in the opposition box let alone a shot in his appearances so far. Ugochukwu for Tall Paul was almost like for like given he was basically a central midfielder for large part of the match
