Has there been a worse striker in a QPR shirt? The man is absolutely useless. We have had some poor strikers but i really think he is amongst the worst. I feel sorry for him. He should not have been bought. It is lamb to the slaughter. He is probably trying his best but his best is League 2 and not his fault. Nourry and Belk or whoever are to blame for him.

In nearly 60 years of supporting the club I don't think I've ever felt happier for a player.

So happy for him

I do hope people give him a bit more of the benefit of the doubt going forward. To call him out worst ever striker can now disappear

But I still feel he needs to follow this up with more

We are QPR.
We have been here so many times before.
Massive happyness for Celar tonight. And the result.
Just enjoy!

Dykes would have missed the second. Good finish.

I have always thought we don't play to this guy's strengths. He is a finisher, not a lone striker chasing lost causes. He had a few decent efforts earlier in the season where you could tell he had something about him in the box. Maybe tonight shows he does. So pleased for him.

Dinking the keeper takes bollocks too.

I wonder if he’d done it if he didn’t have the confidence garnered from the first goal.

I was thinking that. Let's hope this really is lift off for Celar. Two excellent goals. Will do him the world of good.

Never knowingly right.

If you bring a foreign striker in, you have to bring them into a decent situation. We are not a coun in a decent situation with the squad around him to allow him to thrive and develop in this league.

If Middlesbrough had signed him, he'd have 4 or 5 goals by now.

I agree with you.

His first goal was a peach, Charlie Austin scored an Identical goal at St Mary's back In the day.

If It's true that strikers gain confidence from scoring then look out.

I'm seriously well chuffed for the bloke tonight whilst keeping my feet firmly on the ground.

What a great win.

thought he was really poor first half was like playing with 10 men then he scored that goal out of nothing, really pleased for him to get off the mark and his second goal was a lovely finish as well.

Hopefully he can kick on now

Exactly.

The second goal was encouraging. The first was obviously very good but felt like a touch/finish combo that does not go in 99/100. The second was the type of opportunity you have 5-10 times a season and he took it really well.

What I would say is the way they play, I’d still always be staying Frey and have Celar as the replacement for the last 20. I think Frey’s all round game is still miles better and his physicality will help us gain footholds in matches. Celar is potentially a better bet on the counter in the last 20, if we’re holding on.

Willock must be really tarting about in training if he can't get a starting position in that team.

Was thinking the same thing but was he bad or as a team have they just not give him a chance. The balls, if you can call them that, to him are vaguely in his direction with 2 on him.

Reading this thread from the start there’s a few embarrassing moments 😱🤢🤣🤣
Not digging anyone out, we’re all friends and we’re a good club and we can laugh at ourselves

Love the travelling supporters “Zan Celar, he scores when he wants”

Well, I don't think I've actually said anything that I'd be embarrassed about, but now we're singing his praises I might as well say that I've gone through a few phases with him.

I was quite excited about the signing and thought a load of people were way too fast to write off him (and all the other signings - seem to recall some fairly negative things said about Saito in his second appearance, and at least one knock at Nardi.)

Then my confidence. drained away at roughly the same rate as his did, to the pointon Sunday where I was up for starting Lloyd if fit.

Now I'm all excited again (but still wishing Frey was fit too.) I think he's shown that the ability is there alright but it's quite another thing to say that a corner has been turned - it's a start, let's give him benefit of doubt and cheer him on, but we're still owed something by this stage in the season.

Genuinely pleased for the lad. Hopefully this is the start of good things for both Zan and the team. Heaven knows we deserve it.

I think there are between 3 and 5 posters who really felt for him after Saturday so we can celebrate a bit harder tonight .
Thrilled for him ,Marti and the travelling band who have suffered some shocking displays so far this year .If we could win Saturday it would be 7 points out of nowhere now that is a week we can all enjoy.
The party must be in full swing at the hotel Clive is staying at after he inviting the horde to drinks

Patience finally snapped for me after Saturday and was ready to chuck him in the bin so it’s a good job I’m not manager.

Well done lad , 2 top class finishes that show you are actually a striker after all , more of that please , lots of happy rangers bouncing to work this morning

If he goes on a scoring streak for the rest of the season then I’m sure loads of us will put our hands up and say fair play to the lad.
Would you seriously have said that up to minute 39 last night?

I’d be sticking those two goals on loop on a showreel and seeing what January brings still

That aside we need another striker.
Badly.

Alfie and Kolli aren’t the back up answer yet

Congrats to Zan for last night.
Get to double figures and I’ll be adding pepper sauce to my word’s gladly

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
