I think Labour getting involved in any way with the USA election was an incredibly stupid and naive thing to do. Starmer's judgement has to be questioned there, did he know and if he did why didn't he say butt out because it can only be bad for the UK?

But its a prime example of someone who has been promoted well above his capabilities & this is the same as tens of thousands in local /national government & government agencies and indeed a fair proportion of our political representatives from all parties who are promoted to senior positions only because they tick boxes or lick them in some cases.
