Leicester Game Matchday Thread on 17:07 - Oct 19 with 1748 views | JoeEgg | It was going too well! Our substitutes left us unbalanced and totally unable to cope with the changes made by Steve Cooper. A really promising first half and effort from the team; followed by the not usually collapse and chaos in the second. Yes there was some bad luck, but Leicester are not a great side and once again we've lost a game we should have won. What next? I guess the final 45 minutes or so make it inevitable that RM needs to go and go now - I mean its only Man City away next!! The managers obsession with the likes of Smallbone and Fraser are difficult to comprehend but beyond our best five or six players we are always going to struggle. Sports Republic are probably more to blame than RM, but what can save us now?

Neither Smallbone or Fraser are good enough at this level and should never have been brought on. They were such obvious weak links.

Martin's substitutions always turn the game in the other team's favour. It's what he does. I guess you could make the excuse for him that our squad is so weak, but he was involved in bringing these cr@p players here. [Post edited 19 Oct 17:16]

Leicester Game Matchday Thread on 17:16 - Oct 19 with 1623 views | Bridders2 | Just like the Ipswich goal in the last minute...so we make the same stupid mistake AGAIN, and who's the coach? Overall a better performance because we moved the ball up the pitch QUICKER, but still lost the ball too many times at the back trying to be clever again....if we played like we did in the first 20 minutes we would have won easily. This game is a complete kick in the nuts.

I don't think he can read a game like most other people can. When he brought Fraser and Smallbone on, I thought, oh no, here we go again.

Things spiralled after the Ryan Fraser red card and full credit to Leicester The League Table beginning to give us a mountain to climb and the season has barely started.

The only way now to find out whether the problem is the players or the manager is to let an experienced PL manager see if he can get a better tune of them. Still plenty of games left. RM has had a fair crack of the whip. He's not been lucky, but 1 point from 24 speaks for itself.

No promoted team has ever stayed up in the Premier League after getting only 1 point from their opening 8 games. That's reality. We'd need a miracle manager and players to become the first one in history to do it, especially as our 2 most winnable fixtures - Ipswich and Leicester at home - are already behind us. And that tbf is what would prob stop anyone decent accepting the job. But the points and the opportunity is there if anyone feels that they they can get more out of these players.

Leicester Game Matchday Thread on 17:39 - Oct 19 with 1350 views | mushinexile | Keeping him this season wastes last season. Glad to see some fight and quality at last but we need a manager who can get this lot going. If we had won the games we should have, nobody would be saying that the players are not good enough. They are. The fault lies with RM. ALL OF IT.
Leicester Game Matchday Thread on 17:39 - Oct 19 with 1337 views | Berber | I was amazed when I heard that we were 2-0 up. But as i predicted a couple of days ago, Leicester have got some fight in them, and sadly, we do not. Surely time for a new manager now? His approach, tactics and substitutions are weak.

Leicester Game Matchday Thread on 18:13 - Oct 19 with 1119 views | saintpaz | Totally wrong to bring off Archer and Fernandes, they were linking up well and looked dangerous. Aribo should have come off as he was fading. Blatant tug pull by Ayew which VAR didn't bother checking or thought Tall Paul wasn't close enough to the ball (is that a new rule??!). Fraser got carried away i the moment and was a deserved red and then ref decides to let Leicester take the corner after the injury time allocated, 90+7 mins, although that is a minimum

I did see the 2nd half on a stream, but can't think who he was referring to ? Any idea ? Not a good sign to start slagging players off in public. Only one winner when that happens. The man who didn't do his job was RM. This was the exact same mistake as against Leicester. If the players fail to follow his instructions once then shame on them. If they fail to follow his instructions twice, then shame on him. If he's not getting his instructions across then that's his fault. Defensive coaching isn't just about telling players what to do, it's about drilling them so they act automatically without having to think about it. Whoever was supposed to be on the penalty spot had probably been told what to do but not drilled. Then when it came to crunch time, they were thinking about something else. I think Pat makes a valid point about what they should have been doing instead of taking 4 days off.

THB also spoke about one of the subs that came on who wasn't doing their job properly when they scored from the corner to make it 3-2
