Still a lot of causes for concern last night, not least the lack of shots on goal relative to the possession we had.

I'm not sure we are ever going to see an improvement on that under this manager while we are in this League.

It did however strike me that the players are all trying their hardest for Russell Martin.

We went a goal behind, and could have caved in, as we have done in the last two League games.

Granted we were playing a weaker opponent last night; but there did at least seem to me to be quite a lot of fight and togetherness in the team.

We will need a lot more of that in the coming weeks.

Compare Sean Dyche's comments after the game were he winged about the players available and basically said with the players he had at his disposal they were lucky to even get a draw and Russell Martin who talks about the positive points

If you fokkers in THE NORTHAM WALL started making some noise instead of tucking into your triple cooked locally sourced vegan sausage rolls and humus, it may ruddy well help!

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

To be fair Everton were missing Mykelenko, Branthwaite, Tarkovski and Coleman, an entire back four that were the 4th best defence in the league last season. Other players were out ill/injured but hopefully once Branthwaite is back alongside Tarkovski, they will be a different team.

Haha, our very own Jack, Michael Keane has gone for a scan today. There’s many a candle been lit this evening for his speedy recovery.

I completely agree,Pat.
The players didn't stop trying and credit for that must go to Russell Martin.
I just wish he would change his tactics.
The way those players took those Penalties really impressed me,now get them to do more of that when near opponents goal.

The players like the manager. I am pretty certain of that. RM is probably a bit naive but he beat Sean Dyche, who is vastly experienced. I really hope RM can turn it around. I hope we have learnt that the grass is rarely greener. We don't have Pl quality and it would be a struggle for anyone.

But even for a vastly experienced manager, if you have a poor team, you won't win games. Everton are poor side, so they lose games. If you want to win games, you need good players. It's quite a simple game really.
