WBA v Swansea City : Match day thread 06:38 - Aug 29 with 25896 viewsModeratorC

When a team has everything to prove a trip to the Hawthorns isn’t the best pick of venue. However, it’s the next game for Swansea City, who played and lost to a Wycombe side on Wednesday in the worst possible fashion.

It was interesting listening to Jaime Carragher commentating on the Liverpool v Man Utd game . He said that after 3 games he could see a definite pattern of play and structure in the Liverpool team under new manager Slot . He also said that he couldn't say the same for Utd there was no pattern and it was disjointed. There were comments on here from fans saying the same thing about the Swans . There doesn't seem to be a pattern of play and we are now managed by Williams for longer than Liverpool under Slot.

Well many of us have seen a pattern of play developing under LW and it’s exactly the same as it was under Russell Martin at its worse. Slow turgid football - possession for possession sake, passing around the defenders deep in our own half, playing players out of position, lack of creativity, lack of urgency, lack of through balls, failure to use pace, failure to recognise that time in opposition half & passes into dangerous areas create goalscoring opportunities, failure to get many shots away, failure to get shots on target.

There is definitely a clear pattern to our play & it needs a radical change. That is the job of the coach no matter how thin the squad is on quality or quantity

It’s pretty obvious Eagle ,me ol mucker.
One is not going to equalise or score a winning goal from 80 yards out within injury time by passing the ball, sideways
I actually recall a perfect example last season when Cabango was in the process of passing it backwards to Grims when the final whistle went .
Caught in the act .
It should have ended by now
It cannot go on.

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

it was posted on twitter/x that he was in the away end.

Just seen these posts.
So just to confirm he was in the away end, at least I saw him walking down from the stand and he had a few words with the chief steward/safety officer and then left.

A few minutes after the game had finished. The right exit as you look at the pitch.

Chairman definitely there, sat 2 rows in front of me, he had his 3 children and his wife with him. There was no one in the seats in front of me so clear view , there was man to left of me row in front who kept leaning over to talk to him, he was a fan not management. I dont think fans realised who he was , I didn't notice him until half time. I do give him credit for sitting there, very brave you would never seen Huw Jenkins sitting amongst us.

More stupid than brave. His naivety shone through there as he doesn’t really get the discontent the fans have for the management. He still thinks it’s the 1950s where everybody has a laugh, where we wear huge rosettes and top hats, shake rattles and shout “play up Swans”. No idea at all. If he did he wouldn’t be there and certainly wouldn’t have involved his family unless the coward took them for his own protection.

Well done on the transfers so far, we have a squad that the rest of the league are envious of.

How did you manage to unearth all these gems that nobody had ever heard of.

We are the first Welsh club to reach the Premier League Simples

Not now, but he did many times when Chairman and indeed as a fan for thirty years before that 👍 Which I think is more important.

Nobody in their right mind is going to abuse or physically do anything with three daughters present and his wife. Ban would be big, arrest etc. However, I know he enjoys dialogue, but not sure he will say anything though - even if he takes for hours 👍😂

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Maybe that would say more about the appauling behaviour of some minority of travelling swans fans opposed to the stupidity of the chairman. If they think hurtling abuse and making verbal or physical threats to our chairman who has the decency to get in the away end and support the team and learn how fans generally are feeling then I would suggest they are the stupid ones.

Nothing wrong with voicing displeasure or giving constructive feedback, but there is a way to do it effectively and legally.

Don’t disagree but it doesn’t make him any less stupid. He doesn’t understand the passion for the game and its supporters here and there’s always one but probably more idiots around.

If these people were in charge of the likes of Newcastle Utd ,Liverpool it yrnite, then things would be far more unpleasant

People love their clubs and when they see them suffer then they get angry

Maybe but only because of the number of fans

How long did it take the Glaziers to sell Man Utd.

Mike Ashley at Newcastle

Even the Fenway Group has had it's issues at Liverpool in previous years with fans groups calling for them to sell up,

At Swansea we've had Silver Shield (Ninth Floor) Lewis , Petty ,who didn't get an easy ride from the fans.

I believe Coleman is a good person.

The problem is lack of english football knowledge. You cannot learn the history of the club/division overnight. Or build contacts in a short period of time.

Is there really any need to explain it you? Read the post you made calling Coleman a coward and why. You also accused him of being stupid for attending a football match. Hope that cleared things up for you.

Union gives an opinion on matters as he perceives them ,then you reply with your own comments which might or might not be similar.
