Officially ,last month, May was the warmest on record, believe that because I don't .
There's an agenda being pushed to curtail our freedoms and climate change is one of them IMO.

Even the news presenter couldn’t help but laugh when the news about May was announced.

When they said that this May was the warmest since records began, they forgot to mention that that was made up by combining day and night temperatures, as we had very little night time frost.

Who said that figures can't be manipulated to suit the agenda ?

Maybe climate change isn’t what it’s purported to be. It’s an opportunistic tax grab.

Is there a different way to calculate average temperature then?

They reported facts. And they heavily caveated them.

It was only a warm month because the nights in Scotland were warm. Look at how the met office reported it.

June isn't going to be the same.

Heavy cloud cover will result in higher overnight temperatures. It's why deserts can go from boiling to bloody cold in the same day. I have no trouble believing that average temperatures are higher.

The problem with averages however is that higher figures can skew the overall picture. The average pre-tax salary in the UK is £28,000 a year. A helluva lot of people earn less than that.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

There are a lot of people desperate to play down any climate issues.

As for myself, I'll stick with what I already think. I don't doubt that the climate is changing. I do doubt how much effect humanity is having on it, and I distrust a lot of scientific evidence provided by people who depend upon those selling the narrative that humans are responsible for their funding.

It's pretty clear that a lot of "green" policies are being pushed by those on the Socialist side who have seen their arguments utterly discredited over the last 30/40 years. Watermelons, so named because they are green on the outside and red on the inside, have proliferated. The arch Goblin herself, Greta Thunberg, comes from a family very far on the left.

Having said all that, there is no serious downside to humans living in a less polluting, more environmentally conscious way. Whilst we shouldn't be expecting the working classes to shoulder the burden of Net Zero, especially when the Chinese are opening coal fired power plants like Lidl opens new supermarkets, I don't see a move towards recycling more, renewable power, and electric vehicles (where suitable) as a bad thing.

I've got very little time for Greta and even less for "just stop oil" and their ilk.

I do though have no doubt that humans are destroying the planet in many different ways. But there is very little the United Kingdom can do about it in isolation.

No doubt. We're a dirty, destructive, wasteful species and the Planet would be a lot happier if we weren't here.

If Climate change is world wide, then us being a tiny spot on the landscape doesn’t help much.
India ,China,Russia, USA are the significant drivers of what should be a change in buggering up the world .

Co2 makes up 0.04% of the atmosphere, man has added 0.04% of that. This is tiny in itself, so what we add is really insignificant. We can't do anything about the climate, it's out of our hands. If the world stopped producing co2, it's not as if the next generation will benefit, it will take centuries to have any effect whatsoever. In other words, it's bullshit!

Co2 controls the temprature on Earth. The fact that it comprises 0.04% of the atmosphere but has such a major impact should really concern anyone with an ounce of intelligence.

Humans have actually contributed 33% of that since we started burning fossil fuels in significant quantities during the industrial revolution. In the last 60 years Co2 in the atmosphere has increased 100 times faster than at the end of the last ice age, and guess what happened to the climate then..

I'd like to think humans will still be on the planet in a couple of centuries time, we probably will but if we carry on that'll be in vastly lower numbers.

Humans haven't contributed 33%, they have contributed 0.04%

We are actually in a low C02 period. Below 150 ppm all plant life dies, Guess what, farmers actually add Co2 to their crops to increase their growth

As the population of earth grows, we will need more crops grown, hence the need for more Co2 not less
