Gudrun Ure, or supergran passed yesterday at the age of 98. My children were young at the time so I had a good excuse to watch it. Silly comedy like the goodies. I loved it. God speed Gudrun.
I used to watch this, I was 8 when it first aired (prefered Battlestar Galactica repeats and war films though) one of the cusses on the estate was 'Your mum is Supergran' 80's eh?
I thought the theme was a Chaz and Dave knock off, just looked it's Billy Connolly!
[Edit]Was trying to see if she was related to 'Midge' apparently not but he often wished her happy Birthday on Twitter. I'm guessing there are not many 'Ure's' about. "C'mon you Ure's" sounds like a French fan.

God bless Supergran. A really funny program that I used to watch with my daughter. I bought the box set last year to watch with my granddaughter. She loved it too. Sad news.
