Was a bit lost this week, really don't know how this will go, i'm totally on the fence here.
I've been a bit miffed by the lads the last couple of weeks, that display against Sheff Wednesday is still fresh in the consciousness and Plymuff was somewhat an anti-climax.
Because we have the Irish Cafu, we're going to win.
Hull 0 QPR 1
Jimmy will be our dancing queen as he will dance past their defence and slot it nicely with his head into the top corner with a slightly poetic ricochet off the cross bar.
Chair will have multiple shots fly over the bar and if the Danish Jesus doesn't hit the post it won't be complete.
All I hope is no flappy nonsense from Begovic and PLEASE keep Albert on the bench, he's basically a coach at this stage.
The less corners for them the better!!

Can’t say I entirely agree. Willock imo was our best player and the most likely to score. Anderson looked completely lost and was rightly hooked at half time. Chair was ok, got some crosses in, no one there as usual. Agree that as a three behind the striker, it is just not working and Marti would be foolish to stick with it against what will be a season defining game next week.
Dykes crosses were………….interesting to say the least.
Agree about Willock today and when he came on in midweek. Problem is he is so inconsistent. He was dross last Saturday and I think that’s the point. None of them are consistent except in the fact that they can’t bloody score

No goals again today against Real Hull so I would play Jimmy Dunne up top next week, he really couldn't do any worse.
He genuinely does look more of a goal threat than our three forwards…. but he would be relying on a number of decent crosses coming in and we are also rubbish at doing that.

Willock great in the midfield 3rd toilet in the final 3rd.
Clearly a confidence thing we are back to too many touches, our passing is tentative. Hull were pinging stuff around we underhit bobbly passes behind each other.
This is in their heads, they need to work on some attacking plays, earlier crossing and following up shots But this is all mental now

I’ve sort of felt I’m maybe being over critical of the Danish Jesus whenever I’ve seen him play but he’s yet to prove me wrong. Not seen all his games and I will say we did need bodies in. However he looks to me to be exactly what it said on the tin when signed — previously great player injured for years and on a downward trajectory; looks like he’s running In porridge
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

He’s already taken more half decent corners and free kicks than Chair and Paal have managed all season and for that reason alone I’d keep him in the team. However I’d put him out on the wing and tell him to concentrate on crossing into the box: he’s not doing a job in the centre.

2 goals in 4 matches, 1 in the last 3, and I believe both came from defenders (I could be wrong). Our strikers don't strike anything. Smyth today epitomizes everything wrong with us. Some pace, but horrible finishing.

I thought he was immense in the first 3 or 4 games literally popping up all over the pitch, when not match fit, providing assists and looking a class player.
For whatever reason his form has taken a dive recently culminating in Marti hooking him at half time today.

Andersen impressed in his first few games but has bedded in and now looks like a QPR player.
Maybe I'm seeing things but it seemed to me their is friction between Anderson and Chair/Willock
Chair / Willock noticeably not passing to him and the three of them are not interchanging as the should be.Chair and Willock at their worst today for overplaying and taking extra touches rather than laying, crossing or even taking the shot. Chair has had the hump since taken off set piece duties. Willock wants to play centrally (I think all 3 do). Anderson has been the best player on the pitch when he has been good, maybe he needs to be on the bench for the next one and Willock central.

That’s a bit like saying we should leave Dykes in the side because he’s good at defending corners, but can’t score a goal, or even shoot, to save his life.

Anderssen ok. Chair and Willock no. And i wont even mention our force of strength, ball handling, and position wise forwards the mighty duo of d and a. Oh i mentioned them anyway. How silly of me. Must be the wine...

No way. You've gone too far there. I will not hear a word said against the wine.

Qprs destiny still remains in its own hands
Next match home v Preston
Preston has the unfortunate schedule of having to travel all the way down to Southampton away next Tuesday, then back home then back south to London on Saturday. Assuming they don’t beat soton they are likely on the beach
If we can’t beat them in that situation, with our season on the line, then we deserve to get relegated
Their manager basically conceded it after the Norwich game. We have to take this opportunity.

Not sure how Chair can have any complaints there. Andersen's corners are just objectively better.

TBF Cannon looked back on it when he came on yesterday. Could reinstate him at RB as understudy and play the Irish Cafú up front
I was thinking that. It's a dilemma for Marti. With just three games left he obviously needs a measured approach, can't really afford too much experimentation ( like playing Dunne upfront as some have tongue-in-cheek suggested ). He sees the players every day, we just pray that he comes to the correct solutions.

I really don’t envy Cifuentes with choosing his team for Saturday, especially who plays up front. He somehow has to mastermind a win from a squad where most of the players are in poor form.

I think Hayden and Andersen are struggling with fitness.
I'd bring in Colback and Smyth and play Chair more centrally (and hope he doesn't hog the ball as usual).
Anyone else other than Dykes up front. Even if we only get 45 minutes from Frey.

Agree with a lot of that. Andersen was good in his first few games mainly because he wanted to pass and move forward into space for a return pass, create openings in the oppositions penalty area... but those passes rarely came from Chair or Willock. Recently he's looked perplexed at then ignoring him when he was in good positions and try to do it all themselves, and he seems to have lost form. Of late there's not been much interplay between Willock and Chair either.
