Balogun is not a Championship Centre Half fullstop.
That trait of trying to poke his foot round his man and dislodge the ball is just so wrong.
If it doesn't work, he's off-balance, easily turned and we're opened up like a can.
Compare to the Coventry Centre Halves who keep it basic but effective Championship level play by barrel-chesting / or bodychecking their man and you quickly realise why he concedes so many poor goals. |  | | |

Strange defender
Another one that does play well for periods but can lose control and if he plays three games in a row without picking up an injury, that's a massive achievement.
If he could have a Barbet seque attendance record, he would be a potential hero in the making but clearly that's never happened ever for him, so was a stupid signing.
Looking back, should not have loaned out Masterson.
Apparently he has done well in League One this season. He could have been a decent reliable squad member for us but another stupid decision with the benefit of hindsight. |  |
