Can I check when you close - you say 5:00, club news item says 5:30. It’s just we nip in for a quick pint before KO won’t bother if the bar closes at 5:00. Thanks

The bar will close at 5 (last orders) and the building vacated by 5:30. This is to prepare for the reopening of access from within the stadium.

Not sure if you do requests. Would it be possible to screen the Chesterfield v Oldham game next Saturday in the Ratcliffe prior to our home game against Eastleigh? It's on TNT sport and a 1230 PM KO. I will have two Latics fans with me who are also watching the Dale game after, on condition we are screening their game. If not we will watch it elsewhere. Thank you and keep up your great work.

Hi,

The Ratcliffe's food was brought up during discussions with the new catering partner. Being new to the club and stadium's layout, the focus is on maximizing revenue through kiosks by gathering feedback and making adjustments. It is hoped that food will be reintroduced in the near future.

I appreciate your feedback regarding the absence of food at The Ratcliffe. I will make sure to pass it on to the appropriate individuals. In the meantime, please feel free to bring your own food to the venue. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Would it be possible to look into doing a ‘beamback’ of Tuesday night games which some fans may not be able to get to? Similar to what Bromley did last week.

https://www.bromleyfc.co.uk/news/first-team/ticket-information-rochdale-vs-broml

With the Borehamwood game coming up in a few weeks, that would be a good opportunity to get a few fans down to the Ratcliffe to watch maybe?

Thank you.

Yes, the debates on broadcasting a game are currently taking place. Since there are match blackouts on Saturdays at 3 p.m., I am unable to make a comment on which game might be selected. However, it certainly has to be a midweek game. Unless we are chosen again for TNT Sports on a Saturday.

In addition, because matches are shown commercially, there are extra costs involved that raise the watching fee above what is charged domestically. These will require approval from the board.

Thank you for the reply.

Maybe it would be possible to run a scheme similar to what Bromley did where people booked a place to give an indication of interest.

Obviously it would be a bit different without the screening being confirmed, but if the club asked fans to say whether they’d watch midweek games at the Ratcliffe it would help with assessing whether any additional costs incurred would be worth paying.

If the board won’t fund this, then what about approaching the trust to “sponsor” these events? Free for members, non members 50p or something. Generates interest in the role of the trust as a fan body.

That’s a great idea. Have contacted the Trust with your suggestion and also some ideas how money could be raised on the night for the Trust eg. raffle/football cards/mini quiz.

It’s been asked that they raise it in their meeting with the club tomorrow, so expect details in the minutes that follow that.

I would welcome the chance to watch a midweek game at the Ratcliffe and have a few drinks whilst doing do with like minded people. I would also be willing to pay an admission fee or donation. It would be better than paying 9.50 and sit at home and watch on my own. I think it's a great idea. Where's the guy who runs the polls ?

Rochdale Supporters Trust will be selling tickets for the Sandy Lane terrace from the Trust Desk on Saturday. Located in The Dale Bar.

We are doing this to make it easier for supporters and to help out the Club by offering them on sale. By doing this, there will be a separate sale area for each of the three home ends which will go a long way to preventing queues at the ticket office.

We will be selling tickets from around 1:30pm to 2:45pm. There will be no tickets on sale from the Trust desk after 2:45pm to allow Trust volunteers to pack away and enter the ground. We will be accepting cash and card payments.

We shall be asking for proof for anyone after a concessionary ticket so please bring proof of age. The U14's tickets are only available with a responsible adult who is in possession of a Sandy Lane season ticket - we will need evidence of this when purchasing the ticket.

From the Trust newsletter sent out today:
<<“ Question: Would it be possible to ask the club about whether they could determine if forthcoming midweek away games can be shown in the Ratcliffe Bars? The Boreham Wood game in a few weeks would be a good opportunity to do this if possible…

Answer: We have spoken to the Club over this. There is a cost involved for doing so but the Trust are happy to pay for this. We will discuss this at our meeting on Monday evening and make an announcement at some stage next week once we have decided how we are going to run it.”>>
