Offrande Zanzala rescued a point from the penalty spot for Newport against 10-man Wimbledon, who took their unbeaten run to nine games in the league with this draw. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome.
CARLISLE UNITED 1 BRADFORD CITY 0
Paul Huntington scored the game's only goal as Carlisle extended a 37-year unbeaten home streak against Bradford, who failed to have shot on target. A magnificent 7 got this spot-on, and a further 11 had the outcome.
CRAWLEY TOWN 1 SUTTON UNITED 2
Sutton clinched only their second away League Two win of the season with second-half goals from Joe Kizzi and Rob Milsom at struggling Crawley. 2 had this spot-on, and another 4 got the outcome.
GILLINGHAM 0 COLCHESTER UNITED 1
A first away win this season for Colchester to secure a vital victory over their fellow strugglers. It is now 641 minutes since Gillingham last scored a goal in the league. 3 got this spot-on, and a further 8 had the outcome.
HARROGATE TOWN 3 GRIMSBY TOWN 2
Grimsby keeper Max Crocombe's 91st minute own goal earned Harrogate a third straight League 2 win. Nobody had this spot-on, though 12 did get the outcome.
MANSFIELD TOWN 1 NORTHAMPTON TOWN 1
Last season's League Two play-off semi-final opponents shared the spoils as Northampton took their unbeaten league run to nine games. Surprisingly nobody got this spot-on, but 3 did have the outcome.
ROCHDALE 1 HARTLEPOOL UNITED 2
Rochdale's relegation concerns intensified after Callum Cooke's spectacular free-kick handed their fellow League Two strugglers victory. Well done to Moor_Pinot in being the only one to have this spot-on, and another 4 got the outcome.
SALFORD CITY 1 BARROW 1
Jordan Stevens' thunderbolt with 11 minutes remaining earned Barrow a point at 10-man Salford. Well done to Tropical_Us for being the only one to get this spot-on, and nobody had the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Salford.
STOCKPORT COUNTY 2 CREWE ALEXANDRA 0
Second-half headers from Paddy Madden and Will Collar proved enough for Stockport to beat a Crewe team who failed to have a shot in the 90+ minutes. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and a further 14 got the outcome.
SWINDON TOWN 1 WALSALL 2
Walsall extended their unbeaten run to nine matches with Manny Monthe's 94th minute winner, as they came from behind to beat Swindon. 3 got this spot-on, and 2 more had the outcome.
I hope you are all having a good Christmas, surely made a whole lot better with the U's first away win this season. This was one of the four slighty unexpected away wins this week. With the three 1-1's failing to have much support, it was left to the home wins from Middlesbrough, Carlisle and Stockport to make this another respectable week. It all added up to a total 27 spot-ons, with the Premier having a rare victory over Division One by 15-12, in that particular contest. It was in the Premier where the weeks top performances came, with two members from that division being the only ones to have three 3 pointers. They were ghughes11, who had the wins for Carlisle, Stockport and Walsall, and two outcomes, to make him the weeks top scorer, with a brilliant 11 points. Also unitedwhites who got the wins for Carlisle, Sutton and Walsall, and one outcome, to give him an excellent 10 points. Also getting an excellent 10 points was noah4x4, who was one of five members to get two 3 pointers, the wins for Carlisle and Stockport, and four outcomes. Those same two spot-ons also for thrillseeker, on his way to a superb 9 points. Having the wins for Sutton and Colchester spot-on also helped to get concordman a superb 9 points. A very decent 8 points for Moor_Pinot - formerly known as Pinault_Noir - by getting the Wimbledon 1-1 spot-on to go with the good Hartlepool 2-1 prediction. A very decent 8 points also for the final member to have two 3 pointers gerry_us, who had the Wimbledon 1-1 and the Colchester 1-0, on his way to that total. Best of those to get one 3 pointer was basher2010 who had the Wimbledon 1-1 and an impressive six outcomes, to give him a superb 9 points.
Midweek League Cup Just a reminder. The final round of games before the knockout stage take place this Thursday 29th December, with a 19.45 deadline.
U'sual Champions League With just 6 games on New Years Day before we know who this seasons qualifiers are, the member currently in that important eleventh qualifying place is Lewis_1 on 94 points. The four members within 5 points of that total are the only ones with a realistic chance of breaking into those qualifying places.
In the Premier The 16 week reign at the top for mfb_cufc is under serious threat, as the excellent week for noah4x4 has reduced his lead to just a single point. Two weeks ago thrillseeker looked like he may get dragged into a relegation scrap, but two strong weeks since then has moved back in the right direction, and he is up another couple of places to third. A solid week for blueeagle keeps him in the final Super Cup place. This means RSCOSWORTH drops out of those places, after spending the last 9 weeks in the top 4. The top scoring performance from ghughes11 could not move him from his sixth place, but he moved a lot closer to the top 4. The decent weeks for concordman and unitedwhites helped to improve their chances of avoiding the drop. While only four outcomes for Sector4 has put him in danger again. as he only has a point to spare over Daniel. who had an impressive six outcomes, and wessex_exile, who got a very decent 8 points, that included having the Wimbledon 1-1 spot-on.
In Division One After the Lords Mayor's Show for GOSBTS, as he followed last weeks magnificent performance, by only getting two outcomes this week. He remains top though, as MrHappy2 could only manage three outcomes, but he remains in the other automatic spot. The change of name for Moor_Pinot has brought him a change of luck, and he moves up a couple of places into third. A solid week for Madeira163 keeps him in fourth place. By firing a blank, oxfcolu drops a couple of places to fifth, after spending the last 14 weeks in the top 4. A decent week for bwildered moves him up a couple of places into the final play-off spot again. Just losing out on the most 3 pointer rule is Lewis_1. Only two outcomes for burnsieespana means he drops a place, but bigger damage was done to his chances of making this seasons U'sual Champions League. A decent week for sevebalo helps him reduce the gap to the top 8. The only change in the rest of the league has basher2010 moving up a place after his superb week.
