Week 18 results HARTLEPOOL UNITED 3 HARROGATE TOWN 1 Hartlepool booked their place in the 3rd round of the FA Cup for the second season in a row with this win over 10-man Harrogate. Nobody got this spot-on, but 7 did have the outcome. OXFORD UNITED 4 EXETER CITY 1 Billy Bodin scored twice late on as Oxford beat their League One rivals to cruise into the FA Cup 3rd round, and stretched their unbeaten run in league and cup to eight matches. Another game with no spot-on, though 19 did get the outcome. PORTSMOUTH 3 MILTON KEYNES DONS 2 Colby Bishop grabbed a penalty brace to send Portsmouth into the FA Cup 3rd round with victory over their fellow League One side. Another game with no 3 pointer, but 24 did have the outcome. with 13 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 2 MANSFIELD TOWN 1 Two late goals from substitute Michael Smith win it for Wednesday as they came from behind to put them in the hat for the 3rd round. Only mfb_cufc and unitedwhites had this spot-on, and a further 15 got the outcome. SHREWSBURY TOWN 3 PETERBOROUGH UNITED 1 Shrewsbury progressed to the FA Cup 3rd round for a sixth straight season with this victory over their League One rivals, as Peterborough suffered a 10th away defeat from their last 13 road trips. Well done to Lewis_1 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and another 6 had the outcome. WALSALL 2 CARLISLE UNITED 1 Substitutes Andy Williams and Douglas James-Taylor struck in the 88th and 93rd minutes to earn Walsall a dramatic victory and a potential money-spinning 3rd round tie. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and a further 6 got the outcome. In my time of administrating the Happy League I can never remember a 6 game week producing all home wins before. Well it happened this week, and in the unpredictable FA Cup as well. But with a total of 24 goals, those high scoring games made 3 pointers hard to come by, and there were only 8 overall. The Premier getting a rare victory, by coming out on top 6-2, in that contest. Those spot-ons were shared out with eight members getting one each, with the best of those coming from mfb_cufc, who got a full house, that included having that Wednesday 2-1 spot-on, to make him the weeks top scorer with a useful 8 points. Other performances of merit came from ghughes11 and Sector4, who both had the Walsall 2-1 spot-on, and four outcomes, to give them a decent 7 points each. Midweek League Cup Just a reminder. The penultimate round of games before the knockout stage qualification, with 10 more fixtures from the World Cup, has a deadline of Tuesday 29th November 19.00. In the Premier The top scoring performance from mfb_cufc has extended his lead to a healthy 7 points. After having the Walsall 2-1 spot-on, RSCOSWORTH moves up a place to second, but only on the most 3 pointer rule from noah4x4, who had an impressive five outcomes. The decent week for ghughes11 keeps him in the final Super Cup spot. Another to benefit from getting the Walsall 2-1 spot-on was blueeagle, and he moves up a place to fifth. After being bottom since Week 3, the decent week for Sector4 has finally moved him up a couple of places, and he is now only in the relegation zone on the most 3 pointer rule. An unfortunate no show from TheFatGooner drops him to the bottom. In Division One With the top four all getting three outcomes, there is no change to those positions for the fourth week running. That means GOSBTS and Pinault_Noir take their run in the automatic places to five weeks, with MrHappy taking his run in the top 6 to seven weeks, and oxfcolu on a goood run of twelve weeks in the top 6. Having the Walsall 2-1 spot-on helped to move burnsieespana up three places, and back into the play-off places, after eight weeks away. Remaining in the final play-off spot is Lewis_1, thanks to his good Shrewsbury 3-1 prediction. After being in the top 6 for the last twelve weeks, bwildered has to settle for seventh, but only a point away. With everybody else scoring either 3 or 4 points, there is little change in the rest of the league.
