Retired at 33.
160 games for the Swans.
Good luck lad.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Surely he had as equal a chance of going to the World Cup as Gunter if he had kept an eye on his fitness and choice of club ?

Made the absolute most out of a limited talent. A career to be proud of.

That's a bit unfair on Taylor he was fair bit better than limited, he did well for us considering he was an out and out defender who went on to play more or less as a wing back.

A career to be proud of. Absolutely 100%

I wonder if there was any thoughts of him going back to Wrexham to finish his playing career.

Never let us or himself down , remember the cry's of despair when he was sent off in the 1st play off leg v Forest and then after he broke his ankle , he could have gone to Newcastle but decided to sign an extension with us . Good luck to him

Yes, played in some of our best ever Swans teams.

Good luck Neil.

That's not meant to be denigrating. Plenty of players with a hell of a lot more natural ability couldn't manage the kind of career he did. That says a lot about him.

Often got unfairly criticised but was excellent for us.
What would we give to see the likes of him now ?

I still find it remarkable that he didn't score a single league goal having played so many matches somes of which were at wing back.
He did score the famous goal for Wales against Belgium but in fairness he tried his best to miss that.
Was he only 33?
That's really young for a defender to retire when not injured.

Neil often took a lot of flack from our fans often it wasn't warranted. Gave his all here and played just shy of 300 games across the Prem and Championship. Quality fullback, allowed us to have Rangel playing on the right constantly bombing on.

Decent enough player, but when Ben came in he was at a different level

Between Neil Taylor, Sorinola or Lati who would the first pick be?

There isn't an A.N.O choice one out of the three or a 1,2,3

1, Taylor
2, Lati
3, Sorinola

Any chance of picking option 4.Ben Davies🙃

Ben may not have broke into the team but for Talyors unfortunate ankle injury, which may also be a factor in Neil retiring at 33, nasty break which he did well to come back from.

Ben Davies is and was different gravy to those 3, I put the mentioned 3 in order from what was posted above and I placed them 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices.

I wish Neal all the best. His service to the club can't be denied. I have to say though that he has had me frustrated more than a few times because of his tendency to turn back from good attacking positions. Guess he would be right at home in the present team. He could probably do the negative stuff better than most of the present crew.
