WHERE IS THE ERROR IN THIS THREAD ?
Not Loyal’s Brighton review Russel Martin is from Brighton, personally I would have kept that one quiet. When Graham Potter was at Swansea he wasn’t there for very long due to the fact he wanted to go to the premier league. Problem was he couldn’t take Swansea back there so he jumped in someone else’s grave making it easier. Brighton is by the sea, so is Swansea, they have seagulls we have sea swans which live on the rocks in Gower. Sometimes when they are not there they don’t. Brighton is famous for ? Well, the most famous thing is in 1974 ABBA won the Euros there against Waterloo, they played in the old Brighton Dome winning without the need for extra time. Brighton has North Laines to visit, here you can buy all sorts of crap that because it’s here can be sold for loads of money. See, it’s trendy in Brighton, and the more money you mugs spend the trendier it becomes. The real losers in Brighton are Peter and the Test tube babies, what a fat bastard Peter is,the caravan dwelling moon pig. Why the hell they still bother I just don’t know. They may as well just sit on the beach naked. I mean being in a band for 43 years is hardly big or clever eh ?

Did he? He had an awful lot of amazing players around him there. If he was that good Klopp would have kept him. Manning for Cabango. How many free kicks will he give away. Cabango will be the next Joseph and Whittaker.
Williams is an out and centre half, not a fullback, he's a decent player.
Rhys William's has cramp, Rory Fallon just commented " and he's only just come on the pitch" , when it was pointed out to him that William's started the match 🤣

WeVe won the crossbar challenge tonight.,
And the mooted cricket score didn't happen either. We should (according to the Sky reporter) have had 2 goals at least in the first 15 this half, poor finishing cost us. Not a bad result all things considered, not good obviously though maybe it'll trigger the Martin critics!

Yep. Nine changes against the team currently sitting fourth in the Prem and we could easily have got something. No doubt some will still enjoy themselves having their usual bitching session this evening, but most sensible people will understand the reality.
Good signs that our forward play is getting more to where we want it to be.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We didn't play the team 4th in the Premier League though. They had considerable changes.
I'm finding it very difficult to take anything positive from the game or result. Couldn't see the game, radio broken. All in all quite p!55ed off with the whole thing .😣😡

Bit disingenuous to suggest that those players that played for Brighton tonight are the ones responsible for getting them to fourth, but as you rightly suggest it was our second string too.
The goals were poor to concede and they punished us, but overall it was ok, our finishing wasn't up to their standard. We should have scored 3 in the second half.
No injuries, suspensions and minutes for players that need it so that'll do.

I didn’t see any of it tonight, as most, so can’t comment in how we played. But we do seem to have moved from ‘we won but’ to ‘we lost but’ remarkably quickly…

Rhys Williams looks a very poor signing.
Shocker of a miss by Smith.
He was all over the place for their 2nd goal, only seen the goals on Sky Sports, I was expecting to see good things from him, maybe his heart isn't in being here.

Doesn't cover himself in glory on their first either, rushing out into midfield so Cooper has to sprint across trying to block the shot.

1) it’s extremely disingenuous to suggest we were beaten by a team 4th in the Premier League.
By a reserve team of a club 4th in the Premier League? Sure. This is the disingenuous stuff that I think is grating on people. Why frame it in such a false way? Be honest about things.
2) Unless Martin is expecting a relegation scrap then why on earth didn’t we play a stronger side. If we really are in a rebuild then all cash is vital for strengthening as we go along the process. Seems such a weak way to get out of what can be a lucrative competition.
3) I also echo the comment regarding quickly going from “we won, but” and thinking of all the obscure reasons why we won other than us deserving to, to “we lost… but” and thinking of all the obscure reasons why, other than we deserved to.
There seems an excuse for absolutely everything. It’s a dangerous environment to create in a sports team and I hope to God that isn’t permeating the group, although with Martin’s comments surrounding finishing positions ringing in their ears, I can’t say I’m confident about that.
4) I am also noticing a theme that whenever these happy clappers start realising things may not be as they wish to present, they immediately go on attack mode, pointing the finger at those correctly concerned at our results and accusing them of “enjoying it”. I’m sure we will be seeing more and more of that. Keep your eyes out for it, it’s like clockwork.
Onto Huddersfield then.
