Group stage Round 2 Results KINGSTONIAN 0 AFC FYLDE 2 AFC Fylde reached the third round of the FA Cup for the first time. A magnificent 7 got this spot-on, and a further 12 had the outcome. OLDHAM 0 BURTON 1 6 had this spot-on, and another 11 got the outcome. PETERBOROUGH 3 DOVER 0 Everybody predicted a win for Peterborough with a magnificent 7 getting it spot-on. SHREWSBURY 2 MANSFIELD 0 Shrewsbury struck twice late on to beat Mansfield despite playing the final half-hour with 10 men. Well done to durham_exile for being the only one to have this spot-on, though 22 more got the outcome. WALSALL 0 OXFORD UNITED 1 3 got this spot-on, and a further 14 had the outcome. BRISTOL ROVERS 1 PLYMOUTH 1 Rovers goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola saved a stoppage-time penalty to earn his side an FA Cup second-round replay. The 4 who had this spot-on would be grateful for that, and nobody got the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Rovers. COVENTRY 1 IPSWICH 1 Coventry get a 94th minute equaliser to earn a replay. That was good news for the 4 who got this spot-on, and again nobody had the outcome. CRAWLEY 1 FLEETWOOD 2 A massive 10 had this spot-on, and another 9 got the outcome. EXETER 2 HARTLEPOOL 2 Hartlepool fought back from two goals down to salvage a draw. Nobody got this spot-on, and only 2 had the outcome. The other 26 predicted a win for Exeter with 11 going for a 2-0 in what the rounds most predicted score. NORTHAMPTON 3 NOTTS COUNTY 1 Northampton reached the FA Cup third round for just the second time in 14 years. 5 had this spot-on, and a further 18 got the outcome. Absolutely extraordinary, I am lost for words. The Happy Cup has been a minefield for finding those important 3 pointers with the unpredictable FA Cup results. But not this weekend, when suddenly the form book meant something. It was a round of games that produced 47 spot-ons, and a total of 250 points. That means we ended with some sensational scores lead by Daniel with an absolutely brilliant 19 points, in what I believe must be a Happy competition record. Those points included having SIX spot-ons, the wins for AFC Fylde, Burton, Peterborough, and Fleetwood, with the draws at Bristol Rovers and Coventry. A special mention for gerry_us in getting four spot-ons, the wins for AFC Fylde, Fleetwood and Northampton, with the Coventry draw, to give him a brilliant 15 points. He got as many spot-ons with these 10 games that he has managed in 122 Happy League games this season. Another member to have four spot-ons was wessex_exile, the wins for AFC Flyde, Peterborough, Oxford and Northampton, to give him an excellent 13 points. Best of the three who had three spot-ons was RSCOSWORTH who had the draws at Bristol Rovers and Coventry with the win for Fleetwood, as he got an excellent 14 points. In total there were 13 members who got a double-figure score in this extraordinary round of games, and sorry if I don't give you all a mention, but well done to you all. The sensational score for Daniel has made him a long odds on favourite to make the quarter-finals. The race to join him couldn't be closer, with noah4x4 just edging out RSCOSWORTH from the other qualifying spot on the first to post rule. After his decent score ghughes11 remains very much in contention to qualify. This group couldn't be any tighter with that colossal score from gerry_us taking him to the top, but he is closely pursued by the two other members to get three spot-ons, thrillseeker and mfb_cufc, with the former in the other qualifying spot by virtue of the most 3 pointer rule. With everybody in this group doing well to have obtained a double-figure score after two rounds, it is still all to play for here. After top scoring in the first round of games durham_exile followed up with respectable 9 points, to make sure he maintained top spot. The other qualifying spot is still held by burnsieespana, but just like in groups A and B it is only on the tie-breaker rule, from GOSBTS, who completed a good weekend by getting a superb 12 points. The excellent score for wessex_exile has put him well in contention to qualify. The two leaders from the first round of games continue to show the way by getting two spot-ons each. They are now odds-on to qualify for the quarter-finals, with only TheHappyGooner having a realistic chance of catching them. Group stage Round 3 Fixtures Five fixtures from Saturday and five from Sunday to keep the suspense going. Just a reminder. As this is the last round of the group stage the tie-breaker rules will take place if members end on the same number of points. So posting early may give you an advantage.
