Week 17 Results CHELSEA 0 WEST HAM 1 West Ham ended a seven-game winless run and also ended a run of 13 games without victory at Stamford Bridge. With 27 predicting a win for Chelsea and the other one going for a draw. No points for anybody here. LIVERPOOL 2 BRIGHTON 1 Victory means 10-man Liverpool have equalled their longest ever unbeaten run in the top flight, having also gone 31 games without defeat between May 1987 and March 1988. Everyone predicted a win for Liverpool, but well done to burnsieespana for being the only one to have it spot-on. TOTTENHAM 3 BOURNEMOUTH 2 Tottenham have registered back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season. Nobody got this spot-on, but 25 did have the outcome. BRENTFORD 7 LUTON 0 Brentford register their biggest win in 25 years as they get back-to-back wins at Griffin Park for the first time this season. Not surprisingly no 3 pointer for anybody here, though 24 did get the outcome. LEEDS 4 MIDDLESBROUGH 0 Leeds cruised to a fifth successive win as they go back to the top of the Championship. Yet another game with no spot-on, but 27 did have the outcome with 13 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score. MACCLESFIELD 1 BRADFORD CITY 1 James Vaughan was Bradford's hero as his header rescued a point at Macclesfield, who finished with 10 men. There was only 2 (Tropical_Us and GOSBTS) who had this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Bradford. Wow, what an incredible week this was. On paper six nice and easy games to predict, but the unpredictability of football meant we only managed a meagre 3 spot-ons. At least the outcomes from the four good things that did win gave 20 members 4 points each. The honour of being the weeks top scorer was shared by the two members who got the Macclesfield 1-1 spot-on, Tropical_Us and GOSBTS who both also had four outcomes to give them a magnificent 7 points. It was a good decision by burnsieespana to go 2-1 all games, as that got him the only other 3 pointer this week, to give him a decent 6 points. That 2-1 win for Liverpool means that scoreline has now taken over as the top result this season with 17, one ahead of the 1-0, with the 1-1 back in third with 12. Champions League There are only 4 weeks and 28 games left now before we know who the qualifiers will be for this seasons competition. With BFG qualifying as holder, the member currently in the eleventh and final qualifying spot is Tropical_Us with his 77 points. In the Premier Another week ticked off for noah4x4 with no damage done to his big lead. In fact he increased it by a point. Despite nine members getting 4 points there were still two changes to positions with thrillseeker moving into the runner-up spot on the first to post rule, and Tropical_Us moving up a place thanks to his top scoring effort. In Division One Just like the Premier, with a number of members getting 4 points, there is not a lot change from the previous week. In fact that was the case with the top seven. So for the fourth week running Blue4U2 and Lewis_1 continue to occupy the automatic spots. Just the two changes to positions in this league as well with ghughes11 and burnsieespana both moving up a place. The top scoring performance from GOSBTS didn't move him up but it did get him 3 points nearer to the play-offs. THE TABLES (122 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 18 Fixtures We are going to the city for this weeks games.
