Happy League 2019/20 Week 14 (of 38) - Deadline 15.00 Saturday 9th November 23:08 - Nov 2 with 2141 views | mfb_cufc | Week 13 Results BOURNEMOUTH 1 MANCHESTER UNITED 0 Josh King ended Bournemouth's run of 358 minutes and 50 shots without a goal. United have lost all six Premier League away games in which they've fallen behind under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Well done to basher2010 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and just 3 had the outcome. 21 predicted a win for United with 14 going for a 2-1 in what was equally the most predicted score this week. SHEFFIELD UNITED 3 BURNLEY 0 The three goals United scored in the first-half equalled their total haul from their previous five home Premier League games. Burnley are winless in their last eight away Premier League games. Nobody had this spot-on, but 21 did get the outcome with 14 going for a 1-0 in what was the weeks other most predicted score. WATFORD 1 CHELSEA 2 Chelsea have won seven consecutive away games in all competitions - their joint-longest winning run on the road in the club's history. A big 28 predicted a win for Chelsea, but incredibly nobody got it spot-on BRENTFORD 0 HUDDERSFIELD 1 Huddersfield's resurgence under new manager Danny Cowley continued as they stretched their unbeaten run to seven games. Only 2 had this spot-on, and another 3 got the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Brentford. LUTON 1 NOTTINGHAM FOREST 2 Forest moved back into the play-off places as they condemned Luton to a third consecutive defeat. A best of the week 5 got this spot-on, with a further 7 having the outcome. READING 2 MILLWALL 1 Reading remain unbeaten under new manager Mark Bowen. 3 had this spot-on, and 9 more got the outcome. BLACKPOOL 4 PETERBOROUGH 3 Blackpool came out on top in an absorbing seven-goal thriller despite only having three shots on target (two goals were o.g's). Nobody got this spot-on, though 5 did have the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Peterborough. COVENTRY 0 ACCRINGTON 0 Ten-man Coventry played out a low-quality bore draw against Accrington as both sides struggled to create chances at St Andrew's. Again nobody had this spot-on, and only 2 got the outcome. The other 28 all predicted a win for Coventry. SUNDERLAND 1 SOUTHEND 0 Luke O'Nien's first-half header wins it for Sunderland, as Southend remain 8 points from safety . Well done to unitedwhites for being the only one to get this spot-on, with a big 26 having the outcome. BRADFORD CITY 2 EXETER 0 Three players were sent off as 10-man Bradford City replaced 9-man Exeter in second place in League Two. Just the 2 had this spot-on, with a further 11 getting the outcome. CREWE 0 PORT VALE 1 Vale ended local rivals Crewe's seven-game unbeaten run in League Two thanks to Jake Taylor's second-half effort. Well done to sevebalo for being the only one to get this spot-on, and only Stupid_Gooner had the outcome. 25 predicted a win for Crewe. SCUNTHORPE 0 STEVENAGE 0 Both teams missed the opportunity to put some daylight between themselves and the League Two relegation zone in this bore draw. Well done to Blue4U2 for being the only one to have this spot-on, and another 5 got the outcome. 22 predicted a win Scunthorpe. Two weeks ago an eleven game week produced some marvellous scores with everybody getting at least 7 points, so a twelve game week promised more of the same, but it didn't turn out that way, with many of the good things being turned over. Even the ones that did manage to win failed to achieve many 3 pointers, which meant we ended with a disappointing total of 16. It was the 121 outcomes that most members relied on to give them points this week, as only 12 members got a 3 pointer, with 4 doing well to get two. Best of those was sevebalo, who had the Forest 2-1 spot-on to go with his good Port Vale 1-0, and basher2010, who had the Bradford City 2-0 spot-on to go with his good Bournemouth 1-0. They both got five outcomes, that means they share the honour of being the weeks top scorer with an excellent 11 points. The others to have two 3 pointers were Blue4U2, the Forest 2-1 to go with the good Scunthorpe 0-0 to give him a superb 10 points, and unitedwhites, who also had the Forest 2-1 and the good Sunderland 1-0, on his way to a very decent 9 points. Best of those who got one 3 pointer was concordman, who had the Huddersfield 1-0 and six outcomes to also give him a very decent 9 points. With another two this week the 1-0 result continues to lead the way in 3 pointers, and the 0-1 has been best for an away. The top 6 for the season so far are:- 1-0...16 2-1...11 0-0...9 2-0...9 0-1...8 1-1...8 Happy Cup Don't forget the Group stage Round 1 fixtures start next Saturday. All details can be found on the separate Happy Cup thread. In the Premier A rare week without a 3 pointer for noah4x4, but five outcomes is still a satisfactory return, though his lead has been cut by a further 2 points, as having the Forest 2-1 spot-on helps Sector4 to close the gap. The top scoring effort from sevebalo moves last seasons unlucky runner-up up three places into the final Charity Shield spot. A decent week for former champ thrillseeker, that included having the Reading 2-1 spot-on, moves him up a place. Another to benefit from getting the Reading 2-1 spot-on was Tropical_U, and he also moves up a place. The bottom four remains the same for the fifth week running, but six outcomes eased TheFatGooner a further point away from the relegation zone. In Division One We have a new leader with the superb week from Blue4U2 reclaiming the top spot he lost three weeks ago. Five outcomes were enough for Daniel to hold onto the other automatic place. The decent week for concordman moves him up to a season high third place. After last weeks blank BFG bounced back to form, helped by having the Forest 2-1 spot-on, and he is back up two places. the other two play-off spots are still held by ghughes11 and Lewis_1. After winning the Happy Cup and The Charity Shield last season basher2010 is finally getting into his stride after a slow start, and his top scoring effort takes him up to seventh, and just 2 points from the play-offs. Further down the league could this be the start of a another resurgence from unitedwhites. Last season a terrific second-half to the season ended in a play-off spot. After this weeks decent score he will be hopeful of a repeat. THE TABLES (94 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 14 Fixtures It is the FA Cup 1st Round this week, so we will leave those fixtures to the Happy Cup, and have six from the Premier League and Championship.
