Rioting in France 20:39 - Apr 7 with 13515 views | Flashberryjack | There's been a lot footage of rioting on the streets of Paris on social media, but very little is shown on our main news programmes. Is all this fake news or is it being intentionally hidden from the British public?

That's what I was thinking, because some of the footage I've seen of the police action against the protestors has been appallingly brutal, and more than newsworthy.

We hardly ever see civil disobedience here, yet it's a weekly occurrence in France.. .. and it you're talking economics, most of Europe has seen a sharp decline while we have remained relatively stable. I'm struggling to understand your point, maybe you could elaborate instead of making vague, sarcastic gestures.

Yes, that's all it is, nothing more ,nothing too political
Rioting in France on 21:29 - Apr 7 with 5327 views | majorraglan | My guess would be that there is some kind of “agreement” in place between the press and the establishment to minimise reporting for fear of inciting similar protesting in the U.K. We already have protesting outside parliament and there have also been some pretty unpleasant scenes broadcast on TV where MP’s are being confronted and abused. A few years ago there were riots (I think it was London) which spread across the UK very quickly. I suspect that news outlets have agreed not to carry the stories to prevent copy cat incidents breaking out now.

The French have always taken to the streets to protest and protect their rights. Brits normally too busy watching Love Island or the X Factor. As for Economics you are deluded if you think that an unregulated Brexit won’t have a massive negative impact. Good look with the stability. [Post edited 7 Apr 2019 21:35]

So why does the previous Governor of the Bank of England say something totally different I’ve asked this Londonlisa when she has been on about the damage Brexit will do to this country She is supposed to know everything, but as never come back to contradict Mervyn King I’d rather listen to what somebody like Mervyn King has to say about Brexit, than those that only read what others have written that don’t want to leave the EU. Then to repeat that point on

There isn’t a lot, but there isn’t a news blackout. Several outlets have been carrying stories over the last week.

What evidence does Mervyn base his analysis on?
