As alluded to by Keith. Players will have to move on in January to make room for more and probably to cut down the squad. So if you were Keith who would go? And what sort of player would you be looking for?
I'd say to players to go Norman, Randall, Clough, Alby, Perks and possibly Inman because we have so many players like him. Can see Cannon going as much as I like him. Finnerty could do with a loan. Is he on a 12month deal or 2 years? A striker to play with Hendo and a defensive midfielder with league 1 experience and isnt 38. Would be my targets.

Edit- Finnerty has gone to Bohemians in Ireland

Wasn't there a theory Perks could be joining the coaching staff at some point?

Yeah I can imagine both Perkins and Jim will join the backroom staff.

Tvo be honest the only move for them at their ages would probably be non league, the only loan player i would keep is hart, a fit clough would be great but it doesnt look like its going to happen. I would loan out a couple of youngsters as well. Finnerty is on a two year deal

Will we have to sell someone now to balance the books after a cup exit?
That might change the priorities for who goes and who stays.

My thoughts exactly. Suddenly a first team starter after being carefully nurtured. add this to his recent England successes and he is very much in the shop window for the January sales.

I was told we've got a two year deal in the offing with him to run consecutively when the official loan ends in Jan. I hope nothing happens to scupper this as I really rate the lad.

After Tuesday’s performance, Wilbraham should be contemplating retirement. Moore & Kgosi will more than likely not be given new contracts at the end of the season and if Cannon has any sense, he’ll find a new club. Norman and Randall will hopefully return to their parent clubs in January and Clough will more than likely return to Forest. I hope in January that we bring in an energetic midfielder with a bit of pace; similar to Perkins in his younger days. Another centre back wouldn’t do any harm as cover and a striker.

I think people are being a bit harsh on Randall, due to some untimely injuries he's hardly had a fair chance to show what he can do. I was at the Oxford game when he was thrown back in out of nowhere and he was no better or worse than any of our other defenders but was the fall guy and hauled off. Perhaps with a bit more luck he'd be more competition for Rafferty, who isn't having a great season.

Maybe he will, but with other players at the club who can play right back it’s hard to fathom why we’d increase our already large squad further with a loan player to provide competition.

I thought that the rationale behind signing Randall was that he was going to play wingback; we still playing 3-5-2 at the time and he would be more adventurous and a better crosser of the ball than Rafferty. Or Cannon, the reluctant wingback.
