Pace is always a good outlet.
I suppose he might change things around after he's had a look for 10mins.
If Montero comes on I guess you'd either sacrifice McKay in a 5-4-1 (pointless having Montero on without McBurnie to aim at);

Yet he went defensive here.
He could have tried to wrestle back control of the game with an attacking sub or 2, he didn't believe that would be successful with the squad in it's current state.
