Week 33 Results CHARLTON 2 PLYMOUTH 0 Early goals from Page and Zyro ensured Lee Bowyer made a winning start as Charlton's new caretaker manager, as they end Plymouth's eight game unbeaten run. Well done to gsy163 for being the only one to get this spot-on, though 7 did have the outcome. There were 13 who predicted a win for Plymouth. MK DONS 0 BLACKPOOL 0 MK Dons failed to lift themselves out of the League One relegation zone after their goalless draw with Blackpool left them a point from safety. Nobody had this spot-on, but 6 did get the outcome. SOUTHEND 2 ROTHERHAM 0 Southend ended a run of three successive draws with a win against play-off chasing Rotherham. Just the 2 (gsy163 and basher2010) got this spot-on, and 7 more had the outcome. EXETER 3 SWINDON 1 Exeter came from behind to claim a big 3 points. New Swindon manager Phil Brown said his team are too good for League 2. The League proves otherwise. Nobody had this spot-on, but 9 did get the outcome. FOREST GREEN 2 MANSFIELD 0 10-man Mansfield are still searching for their first win under new boss David Flitcroft as their play-off hopes took a dive. Well done to basher2010 for being the only one to get this spot-on, with 3 more having the outcome. There were 17 who predicted a win for Mansfield. MORECAMBE 0 LINCOLN 0 4 shots with none on target at the Globe Arena. Does this remind you of anybody? Well it was Morecambe's turn today in this bore draw. Again nobody got 3 points for this, and only 2 had the outcome. There were 18 who predicted a win for Lincoln, with 10 going for a 1-0, in what was the weeks most predicted result. What a disaster this week turned out to be. All the away teams were strongly supported, but with only one goal scored between them, and no wins, we ended with a total of just 46 points achieved, This was 12 short of England's pitiful first innings score in the current Test against New Zealand. But we managed more ducks than them, with six members firing a blank this week. This was the second worst week of the season so far, with only Week 14 producing 37 points, beating it. There was just four 3 pointers, and amazingly they were shared by two members, gsy163 and basher2010 getting two each. Details of their spot-ons can be seen in the result section above. By also getting one outcome basher2010 is the weeks top scorer with, in the context of the week, a very decent 7 points. A very good effort from gsy163 to get 6 points. With just 5 weeks and 42 games left to the season, it is time for a rule reminder, as both Leagues are very tight. No more than than two predicted scores the same as your nearest opponent in a 6 game week, and no more than four predicted scores the same as your nearest opponent in a 10 game week. In the Premier The decision to go with ante thrillseker predictions paid off for noah4x4, and he closes the gap by a useful two points. It will be interesting to see who will post first as we approach the closing weeks of the season. A blank week from RSCOSWORTH means he fails to make ground on the front two, but a bigger concern could be holding onto his Charity Shield spot, as the good week from gsy163 moves him up a place, and within 3 points of that spot himself. It is looking like any 3 from 5 for the Charity Shield qualification now, with 16 points back to the sixth. At the bottom Sector4 continues his Houduni act by reducing the deficit by another point. In Division One Only one point for durham_exile, but a precious point with the three immediately below him all failing to disturb the scorer. With the Happy Cup and a Charity Shield spot safely in the bag, are TheHappyGooner resting on their on their laurels, with only 5 points in the last 4 weeks. With so few points scored there are no positional changes in this league, but the top scoring effort from basher2010 has moved him closer to the play-offs than he has been all season. THE TABLES (238 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 34 Fixtures It is Easter weekend, and with hardly any games being played on the Saturday, we have eight games from Good Friday, picked by this weeks guest noah4x4. DON'T FORGET THE DEADLINE THIS WEEK IS FRIDAY 15.00 If you are too late for the Good Friday games, then still predict the two Saturday ones.
