Nottingham Forest end their five-game winless league run in style. Not surprisingly no 3 pointer for anybody here, though 5 did get the outcome. There were 15 who predicted a QPR victory.
BURY 2 GILLINGHAM 1
Bury climbed back off the bottom of League One with this win, as Gillingham lose for only the second time in 14 games. There were 2 who got this spot-on, and 4 more had the outcome. There were 14 who predicted a win for Gillingham.
PLYMOUTH 1 BRADFORD CITY 0
A single goal was enough for Plymouth extend their League One winning streak to six games, as Bradford finished with 10 men. A decent 6 had this spot-on, and a further 14 got the outcome.
PORT VALE 0 NEWPORT 0
Vale are still looking for a first win of 2018, while Newport are eight games without a win in all competitions. Well done to gerry_us for being the only one to predict this bore draw, with another 9 having the outcome.
YEOVIL 0 CARLISLE 1
One goal was enough to give Carlisle a third successive win. Only 2 had this spot-on, and 7 more got the outcome.
A number of members had their seasons best score last week, but there was no chance of that happening this week, with some well punted teams failing to deliver, and it was left to Plymouth's 1-0 win to save it from being a complete disaster, with 32 of the total 74 points coming from this game. The eleven 3 pointers were shared with eleven members getting one each. So it was an outstanding performance from gsy163, who had that Plymouth 1-0 spot-on, and the other five outcomes, to make him this weeks top scorer, with an excellent 8 points. A special mention for Pinault_Noir, who just missed out on having this rare feat as well, by having five outcomes.
In the Premier By getting the Bury 2-1 spot-on, thrillseeker kept his impressive 3 pointer record going, by averaging almost one per week. He increases his lead by a point, as noah4x4 was thankful for having the Plymouth 1-0 spot-on, to give him his only points to remain in touch. That top scoring effort from gsy163 has greatly enhanced his chances of making a Charity Shield spot. A solid week for sevebalo has left Sector4 requiring a miracle to avoid the drop, with just 70 games left to the season now.
In Division One Another to benefit from having the Plymouth 1-0 spot-on was TheHappyGooner, and they takeover at the top for second time this season, and keep alive their chance of a League and Cup double. It will be a far bigger disappointment for durham_exile with the U's totally inept display, than losing that top spot. That good bore draw pick helps gerry_us to move up a place, and he heads the group in the play-off spots, who all cemented their places, with concordman stretching his run without a 3 pointer to 9 weeks. In what was a low scoring week, only Pinault_Noir, from those in the bottom half of the league, improved his chances of making the play-offs.

Yes, I believe we declined undersoil heating and also turned down the option of plaster in the South Stand so that the bar area has the same ambience as the urinals.
Instead, I believe we wove a million chopped up rubber bands into the pitch to encourage an even bounce. Then forced to adjust the floodlights upwards when Boothroyd was here as the ball was never on the ground. But when Joe Dunne picked nothing but kids we once again valued the protective rubber as it met playground standards.
The pitch was then covered for Elton John, but consequently ruined, only to be dug up to "remove the clay" (or was it by then a compressed rubber bedwetting protective sheet?). The discovery of a Roman Burial Ground was kept hush hush (OK, I made that bit up forcdramatic effect) but rumour has it that any great crested newts became extinct when Green King IPA became the official ale and poisoned the surrounding water courses. | | | |
