Season Ticket Totaliser Thread 21:41 - Mar 20 with 154933 views442Dale

We have 87 days for people to get their £50 deposits in to determine the price of the 2017/18 Season Tickets.

Average amount of daily sales required by 21st June to hit the targets:
2000 (£250): 23
2500 (£200): 29
3000 (£150): 35
4000 (£110): 46

Keeping a track of this really helped ramp up the interest when Hartlepool fans did it, so hopefully it'll have a similar effect. Debate the numbers here over the next week, then we can add the figures once sales commence.

Up to 2200 a couple of hours ago. That's around 500 in ten days. Remarkable response and proof there is a definite market out there.

Toffeemanc has pretty much got it spot on for next season. This last week or so has provided the basis for the entire plan next year.

There was always a market there 442,the product is there and people are willing to part with their brass, iys just a shame the club put so many hurdles in place before common sense finally set in....

The club need only read back through this thread to reinforce what could have been better because there has been a lot of really good feedback which, in the end, has possibly helped see this surge over the last ten days when we have been averaging over 50 a day.

As mentioned, £200 is now obviously the starting point. Dale fans are willing to purchase en masse at this price, with a couple of simple targets at 3000 and 4000 seeing further £50 reductions the whole idea is very, very easy to understand and easy to market.

It'd be sad if anyone hasn't bought at £200 because they believe it should start at the lowest price (unless it's completely unaffordable of course) as the whole process has proven to be a relative success. This success includes establishing the mistakes that have been made (eg. the loss of momentum in terms of releasing regular updates on numbers, waiting so long to get out into schools and that 3 week spell after the drop to £250) and especially this last week or so which has seen both the club and fans respond to raise numbers significantly.

If the whole initiative was a football shirt...
Verdict: 7/10

Most posters have offered constructive criticism and ideas, most of which have proven to be right.

I've been going on about the same issues, they need(ed) addressing.

Some still remain now. There's criticism and there's constructive criticism.

No I know, was just trying to illustrate how what some involved at the club may perceive as moaning is actually a real positive within the process.

I'm giving it 5.5/10 ...... room for improvement.

Not sure if I'm one of "Riddlers' moaners" but its a cross I'll bear if so.

To start with, the criticism (constructive - not destructive) - it didn't really deliver a huge increase in numbers as the 'Pool version did and as it was intended to do. It wasn't sufficiently reactive, it was too complicated with too many conditions, and communication could have been a lot better in so many ways. Also, I suspect there is still milk in the cow, so why not see what more we can squeeze out of it?

On the bright side, a lot more folk have committed to STs and possibly many who may not have been much or at all to the COA. This must surely give the club the evidence it needs to continue with this type of initiative to boost numbers into the future, but with tweaks to optimise it and make it more effective.

As you point out, this thread is a mine of ideas and hopefully those ideas can be cherry picked through and the best used next year.
