Llorente on 19:46 - Mar 4 by FearOfAJackPlanet | Andy Caroll maybe, or Bony when he was playing for us. He's sensational with the right service. I think there's going to be a trend towards having a guy like him in your squad in addition to a load of cute, nimble no.10s., so I think it'll be a job to keep him over the summer. Yeah Carroll is up there and for his size Bony was tremendous in the air as was Ayew.I'd put Fernando at the very top of those mentioned though.Come to think of it and I'm sure i've said it on here before but he does remind me of a fully firing Andy Carroll, which is great for us.

Looking awesome. When he first played, he could hardly run. Thus it hampered his magnificence.

Llorente on 22:11 - Mar 4 with 1474 views | TheResurrection | There's nothing better in football than a powerful centre forward leading high and powering a header back the way it came. 2 superb goals. However, the crosses make those goals and they were another 2 of the best we'll see. Centre forwards can't miss them and pretty much all they have to do is get on the end of 'em. Llorente was better all round today, but Burnley were always there for the taking and we thoroughly deserved it. Refereeing decision disgusting and why we are leaving this game's major decisions to human guesswork is also just as disgusting. Burnley milked the fact they cheated and gave it the big one so it was nice to see Llorente giving one of theirs some jip and Clement doing the same with that kunt Barton, who got them the pen in the first place. One of the best games ever down the Lib with all the drama and that Hymns and Arrias was right up there!!! UP THE JACKS!!!!

We were playing the ball to his feet when joker Bob arrived but he was still holding up play extremely well and laying off balls for others to run on to. Under Frankie he had to settle in and was signed ridiculously late in the season. This was a problem for many of our new signings and our then manager. The fact is he has never been shite, always put in a decent shift despite all the early season problems. He got as three points against Palace under Bob and created the three points for Fer's tap in under Frankie at the start of the season.

That's just not true. His hold up play, in general, is quite weak and in lots of games very poor. He can score though and has done and that's been vitally important so long may he shut me up. Really like his character on the pitch and he scores for the fans as much as himself. He's well up for us staying up and seems to be enjoying himself. He's a hard bloke not to like for long.

He is up there with the best centre forward I have seen in a swans shirt. No player has scored headed goals or been as powerful in the air both receiving with his back to goal (in the air) and in front of goal than he has in all my time following the swans.

I'm glad for you Jamie 😉 but he's not that great back to goal. He can be bullied quite easily in fact. Attacking a cross though he's as sweet as a nut.

Llorente on 11:40 - Mar 5 with 1105 views | Dr_Winston | The problem we have in these parts is that most people rarely trouble themselves to consider why players are playing poorly, particularly players who had fine track records before coming here. It's been happening for years. Easier to just slag the players themselves. Early in the season Llorente was clearly struggling with the same problem every striker who has been asked to replace Bony did. Piss poor service into the box. None of Monk, Guidolin or Bradley ever properly addressed this. Clement has, and we're seeing the results.

Llorente on 11:48 - Mar 5 with 1091 views | swancity | He's a class act when attacking crosses delivered into the box isn't he. Toshackesque. It's all about playing to the strengths of your striker. And most importantly in Llorentes case in view of his age and past achievements he's still got that hunger which is imperative.

Spot on. As you say, tidy players have been coming here and not performing and they've been written off as crap. Be interesting to see how Gomis would fare under PC. Not saying it would work, but he's a perfect example of a player who is far from crap, but just couldn't get his mojo going here. Fùck knows about Borja tho'. If he's still not settled here by now, he never will. Shame. Lots of talent, but obviouslr loves being in Spain. Don'r understand it myself, what with our wonderful climate, delicious food and family-centric society.

You mean like calling them "shite" when they've had b*gger all service to score from. I suppose it helps if you understand the game of football if I'm honest. It amazes me that some really don't. There's one genius in particular who loves writing players off even though he hardly ever attends games. P*sses me right off that kind of bile

Llorente on 12:00 - Mar 5 with 1055 views | Dr_Winston | Probably a combination of things with Baston. Llorente's experience and physicality has given him an advantage when it comes to adapting to the Premier League, so Borja getting a place in the starting lineup when we only play one striker was never going to be easy, particularly in a team playing as badly as we have for most of the season. It's almost always difficult for strikers to shine when they're limited to cameo appearances too. Players who can come off the bench and make an impact like Solskjaer are rare, and he probably started more games than Baston has. It's possible that there's other things going on and he might not have helped himself, but he's always been positive on Twitter. Be interesting to see what happens in the summer with him.

I agree to disagree. I thought his hold up play and flick ons have been excellent. True we were not reading them at the start. He is a beast in the air but is pretty nifty on the ground as well as some of his tap ins have shown. His hold up play is good but not on par with Bony. There again who is? Only Akenfenwa has similar upper body strength. I think we have got ourselves a right gem here. Only a startling loss of form, injuries or tw@ts like Taylor can be our undoing now :-)

Surely whether or not you're in Salop or Wellington or Waunarlwydd you can only see what the camera chose to show you. Players work hard off the ball and make runs , track back etc but if the camera is focussing on where the ball is then people in the stadium have the better vantage point, wouldn't you agree?

You can't begin to compare the insight you gain from watching a game live to watching it on TV, or these days a shitty internet stream. People should be extremely wary of making judgements on any player they haven't seen in the flesh on a number of occasions.

Llorente on 14:55 - Mar 5 with 936 views | FieryJack | If he sticks around for a couple of seasons and continues to knock them in the way he has been doing he'll become a Swansea legend. Amazingly, his current strike rate for us (around 48%) is higher than any he achieved at any of his previous clubs - brilliant for a player in the twilight of his career. Yummy wife, too (unsurprisingly).
