We drew 0-0 at the Vetch on the Saturday so in those days the replay was 3/4 days later not 10 days as it is now. So on the Monday I called in sick to say I has a bad sickness virus and would be off for at least a few days. So down to the Club Shop in William Street I go and book the bus for the Anfield replay that week with my mates....... We lost 8-0 but the best bit was when Giro took a ball onto the pitch and 'scored' past Bruce Grobelaar to make it 8-1 !! I taped the game on BBC and when I got home I watched it back : to my horror I was on TV in a full on close up at half time I knew that I would lose my job as a result..... Went back to work on the Thursday after 'my virus' and was ecstatic to find that now working in Llanelli nobody ever watched football only rugby !! I've still got the VHS video in my attic with the match programme !! Happy Days !!
Remember the 0-0 draw at the Vetch. Lee Bracey played a blinder and the Clarence was buzzing before and after the game. Good days indeed and loved that pub on match days. It's a shame we couldn't relocate some of the old pubs to the Liberty.

Remember the match at anfield well, was living near Lancaster at the time, my brother drove up from Swansea and we went to the match with some Liverpool supporting friends, sat in the main stand, I remember it was 8 quid to get in, the Liverpool fans started supporting Swansea after the 5th or 6th goal.

I couldn't get a ticket for the home game but as always they'd open the North bank gates 10-15 minutes from the end so went in then.At the time I remember thinking how good a draw was for us financially with the replay. We'd hate any replay nowadays. The Queens was bouncing all day and I'll always remember the Liverpool tout across the road chinning one of ours with one quick right hand.Given who the Swans lad was everyone in the pub just stood there amazed and left the tout to it.

Brilliant few days - from memory Keith Walker was very close to a superb winner late on in the first game with Grobbelaar beaten
Have a feeling it was only 5-0 or 6-0 when he got on the pitch mind, vaguely remember us having a goal disallowed in real play too?
We were 1 down about 5 minutes before half time, 5 down 5 minutes after half time
Loved every minute of it despite the scoreline, superb memory
It was 6-0 when Spielberg went on the pitch and scored the consolation. And boy did he give the stewards the run around. A bit of that elusive running from the Wales rugby team today please!

Liverpools work off the ball was incredible. You had Craig Johnson making run after run moving defenders out of position then the ball would get slipped through the gaping hole in the defence for Ian rush. We were taken apart that night.
I had a spare ticket for the home game and sold it for a tenner outside the singleton. I had sixteen Liverpool fans staying at my house that night. It was carnage. They even slept in the bathroom and the hall. On the Monday, me and my mate got into his XR2 and left for Birkenhead where one of the lads ran a pub called the Richmond. There was a pint waiting for us when we arrived. On the day of the game, we drove over to old Trafford and managed to just walk in through an open door and had a full self guided tour of the stadium. Got some great photos holding up my swans scarf on the Stretford end. Then we drove to Goodison and managed to do pretty much the same thing. We got a lift in their big red minibus to the game. For some reason that I can't remember, we both wore sombreros. God knows why. It was January ffs. Stupidly, my mate left his ticket in the pub in Birkenhead so we told a steward and he took us to an office under the stand. After a quick chat, they escorted us through another door and into the away stand. We got ripped apart on the pitch but what a great night. Quite a few things happened on that trip that would never happen these days.

I remember the home game and loads of Liverpool fans in Marthas before the game and they were shocking and didn't make any noise through the game either, after the game we were in the que for Central Park and the LFC coach went past with some of the players giving us the w@nker sign when we pointed at them and laughed
About 10 of us went with FOSCFA (remember them?) and got held in some service station for about 90 minutes along with about 10 other coaches,I seem to remember some of the Queens boys going on the pitch with a Welsh flag later on in the game aswell,LFC were sponsored by CANDY and they had something in their programme that you could win a .......Microwave!!

Remember catching the bus from Morriston cross and it dropping us off wrong side of Stanley Park. The away end was a small road what I remember and it was full of swans fan's, then this car drove through with a family of pool fans in it.
Couple of kicks and it soon left, then they opened the turnstiles and you had these little scouse kid's trying to flog you tickets xD
Got home about 3am, taped the highlights and remember the commentator saying while we saw that goal Liverpool have scored another.

Got back from working away on the day of the first game no ticket and stayed in the Clarence pub went around to East enclosure with 25 mins to go and walked in, seem to remember us smacking the crossbar towards the end. The draw was a massive result for us how times have changed if we drew them now and drew at home everybody would be gutted.

I wish I could remember, it was so long ago. My grandfather took me to some matches, but I was too small to see most of the action through the crowds. All I remember is that Ivor played!
