I keep telling you that capital punishment has got nothing to do with being "left" or "right". And as this forum regularly shows, intolerance and bigotry is prevalent on all sides of the political spectrum. Didz is a rampant nationalist, that's very much a right wing trait these days. |  |

Would have been a much more peaceful period in ulster during the Troubles of the 70s without this loud mouth leading the Protestants.
Same goes for Martin Mcguiness and Jerry Adams with the Catholics.

Errr... how would that work seeing as half of my family are English and my actual ethnicity is probably Scandinavian/Irish? Would be a bit stupid of me to be a "Welsh ethnic nationalist" given these facts. I'm not anti-English at all, I'm anti-British establishment/monarchy which is totally different. The life of the colonial state known as the "United Kingdom" is coming to an end and this pleases me; an ugly empire... slavery, greed, plunder, rape, pillage, butchery, mass murder, subjugation, racism, capitalism, imperialism, house of lords, monarchy and the symbol of it all the "Union flag" - none of this will be missed by me once it's gone! | | | |

Us older ones will remember a large man in a light grey mac singing hymns at rallies and GSTQ with gusto and then ripping into all who disagreed with him.
Catholics seen basically as trash unworthy of Ulster traditions and those who deserved subservient jobs because of their religion.
We saw and heard hate, and bile masquerading as politics and human rights bascially denied for centuries.
He singlehandedly delayed any chance of peace and did nowt for years but ensure catholics were treated second rate-if they were lucky.
He brought to the fore killers like McGuiness and Adams who needed to nothing but ask catholics to watch and listen to PAISLEY. People dies because of his intransigence including the mainland.
He was poison ,utter filth and only in later years did he see a chink of light in his prejudicial attitude.
Lets not kid ourselves here.

Here's my take speaking as a Catholic not from Ireland of course so can't speak for them but the Rev Paisley always seemed to come across as a man that looked out for his constituents on both sidesof the divide
He always came across as a decent man and that's backed up by the fact that McGuinness called him a friend since they worked together
I would say though he always quite rightly called the IRA murders but never called Loyalist terrorists murderers
