One for the cyclists here... 12:25 - Apr 28 with 112616 viewsllangyfelach

For varying reasons I'm not confident enough to get out and about on my bike, so for the next couple of months I'll be using my indoor Turbo Trainer. I'm mindful that at the moment I'll be training based on time rather than distance, so want to get myself a decent milometer. Any recommendations?

Ta in advance

Excellent well done. How are finding it any aches and pains?

Good to see some other cyclist on here :)

I only do mountain biking, love it, spoilt for choice in these parts for routes, just off to Afan as we speak!

Will do Steve I am on a course Monday/Tuesday but should be ok Prob Thursday. Out on road bike this morning went up Bwlch, Rhigos and down through Glynneath then over Cimla hill followed by Church Hill Baglan, tho I struggled in the heat today.

I did have a nice cup of tea and welsh cake on top of Rhigos.

I used to use it and an app for iPhone only called Runtastic road bike which was free and really good.

I use Strava now because you can upload from your phone or GPS computer thing!

Runtastic is great, but I find Strava a tad easier tbh.

Just made a cuppa now in prepration for tomz need to be at my best to keep up with griff, I'll be slaving over the climbs and he'll be pulling wheelies, he's a monster mun.

It was stunning there this evening. Although I miss the original Penhydd and the trees.

It does look strange without conifers now. There is a big replanting scheme of native trees taking place so in a few years it will be back all dark and moody!

Not to bad fathy, got a slight hamstring strain in my right leg, but that's from a bit of circuit training on friday, it was just so warm today, I had a nice 20minute kip in the chair when I came back fine and dandy now.

I use my exercise bike most days and my rower so legs are used to it, out on bike at least 3 nights this week though, 2hrs or so, mate wants me to do brecon run in September, so need to put the miles in.

I'm thinking of trying for the CARTEN 100 next year. Pacemaker did it this year but he's a racing snake.
