Probably backing up my theory you get clouded easily. I noted that from your language and it has been strengthened by the fact you say so many disagree with me when in fact it is most this disagree with you.

Well I've just looked through the thread and it reveals: 10 posters have said Canas played well or said the whole team played well. 6 posters (including yourself) have said that he played badly or not as well as the rest of the team, so I'm being generous including them. You can add me to those who think he had a good game, although not great. So that's 11 to 6. Who has odd perception again?

Believe what you like, it is obviously very important to you to be "right" and belittle the opinions of others rather than to respect that others have the right to their own opinion. I am not getting into a school yard spat over our team playing so well against Napoli and think it pretty sad. I presume you were actually at the game.

You have the odd perception if that is what you think. There are a lot of generic comments on here that dont go into detail on individuals. When canas is referred to specifically then more say he had a poor game than a good one. Juggle the language all you like to give it a different outcome but it changes nothing. He had a poor game noted by commentators (who actually thought he was injured) and fellow fans alike. If you wish to look back after the game glowingly at everyone then that is up to you. I have the benefit of objectivity regardless of result or team oerformance.

No I wasn't. Does this matter? I watched every minute including multi angle replays and analysis at half and full time. Instead of eating a pie. I wasn't at the filming of "the wolf of wall street" either but I'm confident in saying it is a very good film. You are wrong.

Mom tonight ? on 06:30 - Feb 21 by Parlay | Good game? First half? Bollocks. I can do that too. However on this occasion it is apt. I know people like to get giddy after a win and ignore poor performances however i look at everythinñg on its own merit. Canas gave away the ball frequently, was very languid and barely broke into a sprint. Lost his man on many occasions leaving Britton isolated to mop up the few attacks the mustered. He was not good in either half and was indeed, our weakest link. [Post edited 21 Feb 2014 6:31]

Canas did not give the ball away frequently. Instead I would say that he gave it away more than most which is different to your statement. GM must have seen this hence the sub in the second half.

4 people think he was good 5 think he was average, or not as good as other players, not crap 3 think he was crap Try reading it again. Although nothing will change your mind, as per usual. The fact you weren't even there doesn't help your argument either. Your idea of objectivity is as laughable as when you thought James Beattie was a better player than Ronaldinho. Best leave it here or you'll soon be telling us you're a world-class surfer or your sister has a terminal illness.

Why does not being there not help my case? You do realise it was televised dont you? Can i not say Di Caprio is a good actor unless ive been on set? Or would watching him on the screen suffice? It isnt my case anyway, it is the majority case regardless of what you fiddle. Take a look at the rate the players application. Says it all. What the fck are you talking about regarding Beattie being better than Ronaldinho? Do you mean Kevin Phillips being a better natural goalscorer than Ronaldinho? Stand by it too, nonsnse to suggest otherwise. [Post edited 21 Feb 2014 10:29]

Mom tonight ? on 10:31 - Feb 21 with 1159 views | Dull1Thomas | Eurosport saw things a little differently Swansea: Vorm 7, Rangel 7, Chico 7, Williams 8, Davies 7, Britton 7, Canas 7, Hernandez 9, Routledge 7, Dyer 8, Bony 6. Subs: Shelvey 7, De Guzman 7, Emnes 6. Napoli: Rafael Cabral 7, Maggio 7, Henrique 8, Britos 8, Reveillere 6, Dzemaili 7, Inler 7, Callejon 7, Insigne 6, Hamsik 7, Higuain 6. Subs: Reina 7, Mertens 7, Pandev 6. Not sure how they could give Napoli centre backs 8 each and Chico only 7!! Maybe because he missed his goal chance - but at least he got one.

Mom tonight ? on 08:45 - Feb 21 by Parlay | But the good performance by leon et al doesnt automatically mean Canas played well. There is a distinct temptation to band them all together after a good result just as you have with "the boys" term. Canas' work rate was woeful, never seen him like that before. Almost looked hampered by injury he was slow, didnt track back when he was bypassed and was just jogging around in 2nd gear. When he got the ball in the middle of a promising move it was usually him that gave it away. Im a canas fan. But im not getting sucked into tarring them all with the same superlative brush as it would be disrespectful to the other performers. He was poor by his and our standards. |
Its amazing how people see such different things from the same game I'm not Canas biggest fan at all and think that he i s ok but very overrated however I thought last night was one of his best games for us. Ok he game the ball away a couple of times (which stands out when no-one else does) but thought the way he combined and interchanged with Leon was excellent. Though his positioning was spot on for 95% of the game against some very good movement.

I think the worst game I've seen him have in a swans shirt. I was calling for his half time substitution. Remember i am a canas fan, in fact have had many a debate regarding his talent on annis' forum - yesterday, he was poor.

The same game as everyone else that agrees with me... Obviously. Superb? Thats stunning fair play. Show me one place on the internet that hows him have anything higher than a 7. Surely such a superb performance would be awarded with such recognition. Or maybe you are wrong?

Mom tonight ? on 10:47 - Feb 21 with 1119 views | icecoldjack | Not getting that can as slating at all. The guy played well overall, sure he had a few heavy touches and some of his forward passes didn't come off but he ran his bollocks off and closed down space really well. He did very well when we lost the ball to run and get back goal side of the attackers, people are also overlooking the fact he is playing a bit differently when In along side Leon. The guy is also still probably a bit short of fitness which would explain why he dropped off after 60 mins and was changed. I don't mind giving stick to players when they deserve it but can as was a good influence last night . In fact I think this is by far our strongest line up ,it makes me smile when I see Pablo running the show and looking world class when there are so many who think he is crap, form is temporary class is permanent . All heroes out there last night for me, it will give them massive belief going to anfield on Sunday. Proud is the word I would use to describe that performance.
