Saints Withdraw Adkins Offer ?

Scunthorpe United's Chairman believes Saints have withdrawn their offer to Nigel Adkins.

Speaking on Scunthorpes official club website, Iron Chairman Steve Wharton has stated that after Nigel Adkins refused to resign from the Glanford Park job before compensation had been agreed that its now believed that the St Mary's job offer has now been withdrawn.

Elswhere Wharton had been scathing of the way Saints have conducted business on the Scunthorpe Telegraph website, although that story was later taken off line, possibly due to legal reasons.

So as noon on Thursday approaches its not clear as to where the situation currently lies and whether the deal is still on and if not whether its Adkins who has scuppered it by refusing to resign or Saints withdrawing their offer.
