It's Not To Late To Go To Everton
Friday, 4th May 2018 09:09

Saints fans who are considering going to Goodison Park for what is for the moment at least the most crucial game of the season still have time to get a ticket, but you need to be quick.

Saints have in one respect been vindicated in taking an increased allocation for the trip to Goodison Park tomorrow with most of those extra tickets having been sold for the crucial game.

However it is looking like it will cost the club money to have done this as aside from having subsidised the ticket price to £10 along with club sponsors Virgin Media, it looks like a few hundred tickets will remain unsold costing the club a few thousand pounds.

Strangely this game hasn't quite sold out, although Swansea on Tuesday evening has, fact of the matter is it is the next game that matters in a relegation fight, Swansea may mean absolutely nothing if results go against us this weekend, Saints need all the support they can get at Everton and then worry about Swansea

So why not go to Merseyside and support the team on Saturday, yes it is on TV and it's a 5.30 kick off, but football is not about armchair fans it's about being there to support your team not just in the good times, but also when it is in adversity.

It's only £10 and if you can't get up there by car there are seats available with the official club travel

I put it down to apathy, plus it's "up north". disappointedly Everton seems too far for too many Saint's supporter's.For me, the main criteria for being a " Big Club " is consistently ( for decades) selling out your away allocation. Personally, I'm looking forward to being in an "Archie Leach" Stand again. All be it a larger version of the West & East Stands.

There are many reasons why people don't travel and in this case, late ko so difficult to get up and back in a day and it's bank holiday weekend when wives and children need Dady around. In my case put it done to anno domini.

Nobody is less of a fan because they will not be going. Good for those that do.
