Saints Could Look To Cut Price German Striker To Replace Pelle
Tuesday, 22nd Mar 2016 21:54

With Graziano Pelle looking set to return to his native Italy in the summer Saints could look to replace him with a bargain deal from Germany.

Saints are being linked with SV Darmstadt striker Sandro Wagner as a replacement for Graziano Pelle.

The issue for Saints as they look to replace the Italian is they already have a plethora of big name strikers at the club including Charlie Austin, Jay Rodriguez and Sadio Mane so they will find it hard to attract another big signing to fill Pelle's gap.

That means they will need to look at either a promising youngster or think outside the box.

Wagner at 28 is no spring chicken and has played for a number of clubs in the Bundesliga after starting his career at Bayern Munich.

The 6ft 4 striker has scored regularly for Darmstadt and is known for his heading ability as well as being able to hold the ball up and would be an ideal replacement for Pelle, especially as he apparently has a release clause in his contract that means he could go for around £580 k.

Saints are not the only ones sniffing around with West Bromwich Albion also being linked, ironically to replace the man Pelle replaced at St Mary's Rickie Lambert

Wagner does not appear to be a descendant of Richard Wagner the famous German composer, which is a pity, because if he signs the Northam End could probably do with someone who could write his own song and perhaps pen them a few more originals.

We don't need him and Graziano has not made any noises suggesting that he wants out yet. He's certainly worth another year at least.

Graziano has said that he has no intention of leaving us at the end of this season.

But total agreement about the songs from the Northam, I've always stood with the singing crew, but to be perfectly honest, this is the worst lot I've ever encountered. Most of the songs are awful a lot just idiotic, playground chants at best.

Graziano has not he wants to leav nor has he signed a new contract so with only a year left and no new contract offered its likely Saints will look to move him on

I for one will stand up and applaud him for what he has done over the last two seasons

Koeman was the Flying Dutchman on Sunday and let's hope next season isn't Gotterdammerung in terms of hus new contract.
Weak Wagner jokes are however the only use for this bloke I'm afraid. We won't be interested in him - next rumour please...

Pelle is not going to leave, are you just trying to start a rumour to unsettle him?

There are so many new news that we need to work on and one of them is about https://www.australian-writings.org/. If we can see that it's the only thign that we need to study, then it will be great.
