Saints Make Quick Work Of Quick Tuesday, 21st Jul 2015 20:52 Saints romped to a 10-0 victory over KVV Quick 1920 in the 2nd of their Dutch pre season workout. Saints went ahead in the 1st minute with a goal from Steven Davis to make it a quick start for Saints but a slow one from Quick ! By the 15 minute mark Jay Rodriguez and Graziano Pelle had made it 3 and by half time all three had scored again with Pelle bagging a 3rd for a 7-0 half time lead. If Quick thought they were going to get back into the game in the second half they were to be disappointed as Jordan Turnbull and Juanmi took the scoe up to 9-0 before Jay Rodriguez ended the scoring four minutes from time with his 3rd and Saints 10th. Although it looks good on the record books nothing too much can be read in this result other than the satisfaction of a good work out before the visit to Feyenoord in a couple of days time and the fact that it also marked Jay Rodriguez first 90 minutes since returning from injury. Its a stepping up of a gear and the trip to Feyenoord will step it up even more before the real work starts when Vitesse Arnhem visit in the Europa League next week.
