Last chance for Sheff United tickets Monday, 9th Apr 2012 09:58 by Col
Monday is the last opportunity for people to get tickets for Tuesday night's clash with Sheffield United.
The ticket office will be open at Spotland until 5pm for supporters to get their hands on tickets for the game with Sheffield United. With United chasing promotion, they have sold out all of their tickets for the Willbutts Lane stand.
The game could be the game that seals Dale's inevitable relegation from League One if results go against us on Monday afternoon.
The Police have announced that there will be no relaxing of the all ticket policy on the day of the game.

I really don't see why it is a problem for the police. Spotland only holds 10,208. It shouldn't be difficult to handle that amount of people. We should be able to give Sheffield United a bigger allocation. Maybe it would've been a good idea to put them in the TDS aswell. I'm a season ticket holder in the TDS and I would quite happily move either in to the main stand or the sandy lane and see a bigger crowd there. Sheffield United would sell 5000 tickets with ease, they've already filled their 3500 allocation. Let's face it, there'll only be about 2000 dale fans anyway, our season is well and truly over.

I would have liked GMP to allow the club to sell all 3750 seats in the Willbutts - why restrict it to 3500? Any problems on the night could be accomodated in the wing of the TDS that the police now insist is left empty. Can you imagine Old Trafford agreeing to such arrangements?

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Charlton Athletic Polls |
