I didn't quite see it that way. I don't think we were that much better than them, just that they weren't really trying that first 20 minutes or so. But the analysis of the problems is spot on. Youngsters, inexperienced rejects, pretty tough to build a successful team from that sort of pool. But to give MW his due, when it goes right this team looks good. We just need that bit of nous on the field. What I am concerned about though, is that there doesn't appear to be that nous in the team, or coming from the technical area. Was it really that difficult to figure out they were double teaming Eze, and tell him how to deal with it? Still positive, still happy with where we are (actually more than happy), but starting to see problems. Sean Derry would probably have sorted a lot of those problems out on Saturday. I'm not sure Wallace, or Cameron if he had been there, would be able to do the same. But we shall see. |
| News Comment | Austin, Faurlin and the re-appearance of Seb Polter - Knee Jerks at 18:51:26
So I watched most of the game from my smart phone while at work (NZ). Great game, great performance. The performance of Charlie Austin was simply magic. He was everywhere, and I have to agree with Ian Holloway, he is a different class to everyone else in this division. I didn't expect to see Ale Faurlin back, so it is great that he is playing. But to see him play so well is unbelievable. Here's hoping for a top six finish and nice chunky contract to keep Charlie at the Bush for another four years. |
