I reckon we might only pay a large chunk of those wages if we could get an agreed purchase price, but then I guess when the deal was done we were a bit desperate...
I remember a few years back someone in the crowd telling me we could have got Kyle Walker for £2.5m when that loan was sorted. --This felt like nonsense at the time though ;p
Just thinking that with Ronnie and Yang both starting in place of actual QPR players, could there maybe be some financial implication to this?
I remember that some Premier League clubs want the full % of wages paid if their player doesn't feature, maybe this is the case where the deal had to be done in this way to get the players in?
Alex Lowe Clinton Baptiste and Barry From Watford, very funny guy and sometimes serious actor as well. Switched over to Wolves when he moved from London, but still has the love.
There are loads of cameras on the autoroutes and they are enforced. There is a Halfords at Le Tunnel if you go that way for anything last minute you forgot!
The roads are so much better than the UK, but be aware that speed limits change for the weather, as they should, so if its raining or foggy then its a different limit.
Tolls can be expensive and the motorway services can be spread out.
I've driven top to bottom a few times, and once on electric only with no problems. Only sh!t myself once when everything froze and lorries were skidding over. did about 10mph after that with white knuckles...
I think its setup a bit like news. You could get all your news for free on Social Media, but it might not be 100% accurate. You could subscribe to something like Associated Press and get verified facts.
This is why Brentford and Brighton were doing better than others with transfers, as they leveraged the stats used by large betting companies.
It's why we are all guessing how much a player is on and how long his contract is I 'spose
Rangers have been blessed with some excellent defenders over the years. Parker was international class, a genuine Rolls Royce player. This was still in the era where players like Fashanu could get away with elbows and all sorts.
Parker was usually a sweeper in the back 5 and we typically man marked, where Maddox was probably the best I've seen at this.
I think Parker could have played anywhere, and as another poster has said, probably should have moved to Europe, where the sweeper system was prevalent at the time, he would have won everything.
Yeah, if the club do the deductions from paye then they probably save on the income tax they would lose anyway, so that £200 is more like £100 after tax, if that makes sense.
I remember Zlatan moaning that Man Utd charged him for taking things out of a minibar while staying overnight for a game. What was he on, £250k p/w?!
I'm pretty sure Asmir could run to the £200 per week for giving his shirt away, I'm struggling to find a violin to play for him, wasn't he one of the top earners last year by all accounts?
Do football clubs make that much money from shirt sales though? I remember watching a TiFo video on YouTube and it was a surprisingly small % for a PL club's income
