millwall match tread ?
at 22:35 1 Feb 2025

Well...Millwall are not a very good team. Their main tactic is getting a set piece and booting it on to the head of Jake Cooper. We looked good when Koki was on and we were playing the ball on the floor.

We gave them two goals and, until the subs, the majority of our team had a bad day at the office. Edwards was the only defender who played well and Alfie kept going despite getting whacked several times. The good thing is we have a game in three days' time. I hope the starting line-up is very different.

Yes, he's a very good player. It's annoying when our best defender is not our own player though.

Says how much he loves it here then ups sticks as soon as he gets another offer. As Clive said, he'll be back at this level (assuming they go up) before long.

Edwards is class but he's unfortunately not our player. Can we sign someone like him please?

It's 6.15pm and Fox still hasn't reacted for their second goal.

Just another footballer kissing the badge, I'm afraid. Him and Jack Robinson aren't that dissimilar.

Pretty pissed off with him leaving if we don't replace him this window. We are six points off the play-offs despite losing the last two matches and are selling our best player this season. Ashby is useless - Nourry can **** off if he thinks he can replace him. And while he's about it, fire up Football Manager and get a decent left back in too.

Absolute crap today. Much better once Saito was on so hopefully he starts on Tuesday instead of Chair who was appalling. Has Fox reacted to the ball hitting the bar yet?

I've had it with Paal now. Absolute crap from him today - their goals came down his side, he did his usual crap corners and he can't beat defenders.

Why the hell is Ashby still here? Another crap cameo. We basically need two new full backs.

So frustrating as we're still within touching distance of the play-offs despite two successive defeats.

Regarding the standing/seating debate at away games, are the standing tickets for Pompey the same price as the seats?

Feel sorry for him as it appears he wasn't playing in his usual position but that Boro match was brutal. It did genuinely feel like anyone that was pulled out from The Loft could do no worse.

The biggest disappointment is that Bannon conjured the first goal. It was coming as they took control of the midfield and you can't give the likes of him time and space. Dare I say, we win that game with Bannon in blue-and-white hoops?

Well that was a massive letdown. So so pedestrian today. They were booed off on Wednesday because of how poorly they defended their lead and we barely tested them. Hopefully some changes for Millwall.

Our crowds these days compared to years gone by....
at 16:12 24 Jan 2025

Yeah, me and my mates went to Highbury a lot in the 80s. Mad that we could just rock up and pay a few pounds at the turnstile for a Championship-winning side. Without being too 'jumpers for goalposts', I think watching top-flight football was better then in terms of actually being able to get into the ground, particularly if you were a kid. God knows what you have to do to get tickets for big matches these days.

Our 'old school' ground, safe standing and Championship status are a big part of why we are attracting lots of teenagers.
