| News Comment | That sinking feeling again – Report at 06:22:31
062259 - you're right, I've gone backwards and forward on that one, probably would have not done it, then after Sheff Utd definitely would have done it, then back to hold your nerve don't do it. Fall in love with a loan player, over spend to get him back, no resale value. If it had been me I probably wouldn't have signed him either. But what I've said here is the longer it goes on like this the more that looks the wrong call. |

JEA - Well, I'm pleased you said that, because that was more the Varane performance I saw, but then I got home and everybody was raving about him. Have put him back to the 6 I had him on originally. |

That was at the other end mate. Or, as we were referring to it on Friday, The Moon. |
| News Comment | Season Preview 24/25 – Strugglers at 11:43:49
Agree wholeheartedly with the second bit mate. Same for so many of these teams. We did once toy with the idea of doing our season preview first week of September but it felt like cheating. Sheff Utd have already made two good signings since we wrote them up. I still can't believe Watford and Hull will send their squads in looking like this. ATM we look strong at the back and light going forwards, in a month's time we might have sold JCS and bought three strikers. |

| News Comment | Nardi first arrival, epitomising QPR’s about face – Signing at 20:10:55
Yeh, it's about balance isn't it. Doesn't help really that the 1-2-3 month loans are gone now, and you have to loan out for half a season or not at all (albeit goalkeeper emergency loans are a thing). I'd personally like to see Walsh play League Cup at Cambridge, hopefully round two (lol) before the end of August, then go out on loan. One thing that really doesn't help our goalkeeper development is just how few cup ties we play. The other two are capable of bench sitting. If Nardi does get injured... well sht happens. |

I was impressed with Walsh at Coventry, though how much that was just noticing what a difference it made having a front foot goalkeeper after eight months of Begovic I don't know. Either way, he's played 17 games of senior professional football in his life, it would be a hell of a punt to hand him the gloves and say go on then you're our first choice keeper for 48 games of Championship. |
| News Comment | End of Term 23/24 – Attack at 13:07:43
Loft - I'm much more on your side than some others TBH, really like Sinclair, think there could be a big player about to explode from all that rawness. Sadly I wonder if that might happen somewhere else. |
| News Comment | Dunne’d in the gob – Report at 07:55:57
Larkeche started there as well and has only had a couple of very brief sub appearances since. Dozzell and Kakay bombed completely. |
| News Comment | Field's surprise double caps fitting footballing tribute to Bowles – Report at 06:59:58
Myke - On the referee and the linesman point... The lino was clearly under instruction to take his lead from the referee. Even fairly simple throw ins they were looking to the referee first before raising a flag. I was amazed he actually flagged for the penalty, that being so blatant I guess how could he not. When I was refereeing this would happen from time to time. You'd get some old, experienced referee who'd been around, they'd come in and see how young I was, and immediately tell me to only do throw ins and offsides, do not flag for free kicks, and check with me first before raising your flag and I'll indicate what I think it is. Ostensibly the reason is to stop a situation where the lino gives one thing and the referee gives another. In reality it just renders the assistants useless. I used to take great delight in immediately and provocatively flagging for a free kick anyway and forcing the old twt to give something he didn't want to give. On the points - 52 is usually the cut off. Peterborough were once relegated on 54 but it's never happened before or since. I think it'll need at least 52 this season. |
| News Comment | Prestige performance puts QPR back in the hunt - Report at 20:57:12
Hastings - agreed. Strength on the bench was a huge issue for the squad he took over (see Norwich report). Now we've got some options there. We've seen the power with Chair at PNE and Willock here of leaving a 'star name' out as a bit of a kick. Tony - Yes, although neither at the time nor on the replay since can I tell you why that is. Any ideas what it was given for? |
