My daughter loves dogs but has skin allergies, any suggestions to a breed suitable?
We had a rescue Choc Lab which the kids adored but he needed re-homing and then looked at a Bichon/Beagle cross which was meant to be good for people with allergies but that didn't help.
So I need suggestions for breeds so I can look further into them. |  | | |  |

I'm not really sure. Would a short haired dog be better? Maybe a dog that doesn't shed it's coat....Poodle?
My wife is allergic to dogs. She has built up a resistance to our springador, but other dogs bring her out in a rash. Maybe your daughter will build a resistance too? | |

They're one of the few breeds that are classed as near to hypoallergenic as possible. Obviously tolerances vary from person to person, but they are recommended for anyone who normally has allergies to dogs | |

I paid over £400 about 10* years back for one, Dave. Wonderful breed. Intelligent, loyal, playful. First pedigree we'd had in the family after always having mongrels and rescue dogs. Hell of a boy he was.

I know poodles are ok and so are Yorkies apparently. I've got a friend with a Labradoodle, which is a cross between a Labrador and a poodle. They really are beautiful dogs and friendly as well. |  |
