Demand for Dale - Fan Questionnaire 13:50 - Feb 27 with 5531 viewsdemandfordale

Hello,

I am a third year business student undertaking research into fan demand for Rochdale A.F.C.

Any questions please ask me in here but you'll find the information sheet provides more information and your consent is required.

The questionnaire results will be anonymous.

The club has been very helpful throughout the research process and the results/findings and recommendations of the study will be given to the club.

Thank-you for your time.

Wish you well but you seem to be hitting on the wrong sample - most people on here actually already go to games - if you want to find out how to increase attendence you need to be hitting upon those who don't. So I hope the 'recruitment' of your sample extends beyond this board.

I'm not sure about that, but yes the questionnaire sample extends further than this messageboard

I see your point but my aim is to find out what determines whether rochdale fans go to games or not and as a fan it seems only right to gain the supporters thoughts and feelings first as they have a personal interest in the direction of their football club.

with the threads on here about season ticket renewal and such i'd argue its still an important aspect to look at ways to retain the current fanbase

yes I could go and ask people on the streets of Rochdale but asking an armchair premiership football fan his opinion on lowly league 2 Rochdale would not get the same answers - and is another study in itself

That is a whole other research area looking at why people don't support their 'hometown' team

The only certain way to get the views of Dale fans is to hand out and collect questionnaires inside the ground.
