Mansfield fan invades pitch after overdosing on cheap football tat and pre-match excitement before Liverpool cup tie 13:23 - Jan 7 with 2657 viewsKonk

This pitch-invader has nearly pulled-off the impressive five card trick of 21st Century footie fandom: Jesters hat, face paint (looks more Ukraine than Mansfield), vuvuzela and half-and-half friendship scarf. I’m guessing his foam hand fell off as he was being escorted from the pitch. Top effort from the boy.

I think hes let himself down there. He should've completed the complete goon look by wearing full replica kit (shirt/shorts/socks) and football boots or astroboots. He could've scored extra points by having a gimps nickname on the back of his like Dazza or QBP.

True, but I've always had a soft spot for WE 8 CHELSEA or whatever. Also, I've forgotten rumble sticks. Although they are an asbolute ba stard to keep hold of when you're wearing big foam hands.

Question for legal experts/members of the law enforcement community: If this lad ended-up getting nicked rather than hoyed out the ground and booted up the arse, will his mug shot have been taken with the face paint on, or will they have made him wash his face first?

It could be a facial tattoo ?

Surely the steward should get a "straight" red for an offside bumming offense?

If it is, he's got to be disappointed with the blue they've used. Having said that, it's still better than Shaun Derry's weird tattoo of a dog with a human body, wearing a mac. The sort of thing you might "commission" from one of the charcoal portrait artists around Leicester Square after an afternoon drinking Absinthe in Soho.

That tattoo scrambled Oscar's brain on Wednesday night. Everywhere he went there was a dog in raincoat tattoo following him around.

Most importantly, Konk, he seems to have embraced one of your favourite items - the friendship scarf. Having said that, he doesn't seem to have entered into the spirit of 'friendship' too much.

"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

There were those friendship/match-day scarves at Stamford Bridge last week. Clearly they don't know....

My girlfriend jokingly said "Shall I get you one?" To which I replied. "OK, I'll just burn the Chelsea end off then!".

I'm a huge fan of the friendship scarf. I intend to buy one at every match I attend from now on. Then, one day, I'm going to spread them all out on the living room floor and quietly wonder what the fu cking hell it is I'm supposed to do with them. My top-tip, by the way, which I picked-up from a bloke in Hamburg, is to try and leave it until after the game before buying your friendship scarf - that way you can often secure a considerable discount. Sorted.

One of my favourite players at QPR; a real inspiration for younger players with a no nonsense attitude. 100% professional; just wish we had more players with the same attitude.

It's not what you've got; it's where you stick it.

You could cut each one in half and stick them to a bit of plyboard, then (and this is the clever bit) one wall of your living room becomes a real-time polyester / faux cotton league table.
It could catch on.

Equally, with the amount of static generated it could catch fire.
