I struggle to think of any other club in the league/world that would have been as poorly prepared for that West Ham game as we were.

Mind you, I guess correctly spotting every single one of West Ham's strengths and playing directly to them was meticulous in its own way.

exactly the bloke should have got the tin tac after the Spam game,
he is the worst manager in our History !!!
the biggest illusion he has created is this he needs 20 games before his sides get going Crap

Btw Mark there is something you can do more for Rangers,
get yer coat and yer 2 chelsea goalkeeping mates and Feck Off !!

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

" I can't do any more for QPR"

Oh yes there is Mark, there is one last thing you can do, let me assure you....

+1

It seems all too clear. All of us will be very happy to be proved completely wrong with an unbeaten run starting Saturday and running well into the New Year.

(whateverthef*ck an "unbeaten run" might be.............. I seem to remember one club hero wearing shorts for a long time once a long long time ago......... does MH even own a pair of shorts?)

‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’

I think you and I are aligned on Hughes Dave. We seem to have gone through the same process over the same length of time and reached the same conclusion at the same point.

The more I hear from him at the moment the more I think he's actually angling after the sack and the pay off. If he had any pride he'd resign if this Saturday doesn't go well.

yeah I wanted it to work and still thought it might before the reading game but i've seen enough now, i agree with you it sounds like he is trying to get sacked.

we'll probably win on Saturday and he'll talk about how great he is but it's only a matter of time, he'll be gone by the time we play Newcastle

I don't think this can be taken out of context - he's just making ludicrous ascertations - he should admit he has made some mistakes. yes there have been individual errors by players BUT that's not why we're bottom alone.

The truly criminal part of that West Ham game was that everyone could see that an extra midfielder was needed at HT. It took Hughes an extra ten minutes of the second half to see it. And hey presto, we took control of the game.

Think he may have just burned his bridges with any fans who were still uncertain about his sacking. Can see the atmosphere on Saturday turning very nasty very quickly, even if things go our way.

It's unfortunately reached the stage where TF needs to sit down with Sparks and just tell him 'Mark, Mark, no Mark, Mark, Mark. It's over. No, no, Mark, Mark. It's over.'

Mark,mark,mark.....that's a dog with a cleft palate isn't it?

Songs I expect to hear on Saturday...

Sacked in the morning, you're getting sacked in the morning
One Harry Reknapp, there's only one Harry Redknapp
Tony Fernandes, Tony Fernandes

It does sound like he is already gone, it will be interesting to see if the rumours are true and HR is indeed already lined up and waiting to go.

That looks to me like putting down a marker for possible post sacking negotiations about pay off and subsequent media management.

He is probably tidying his desk and slipping a few pairs of remaindered cashmere flabio slippers into his briefcase as i type

You could add Swansea to that a swashbuckling cavalry charge at them from the kick off on probably the hottest day of the year . Swansea played their passing game and waited for us. To run out steam then picked us off in the 2nd half

When you read things like that it's hard not to want to get rid of the guy. I'm starting to think the sooner he leaves the better, I went along with the 'stability/he'll turn it around yet' crap, based on his previous record - which isn't bad. But here, it's just not working out.

Dave McIntyre referred to Harry Redknapp as a trap waiting for TF to walk into it. God I hope he doesn't! I hate Redknapp.

We have good players, no mistake. BUT.....they are not motivated, there is no better person to motivate a player than Harry.

If my memory serves me right... I seem to recall a hound dogged faced Paul Hart saying pretty much the same thing just before he was given the ol' heave ho!

Is that right? Just a distant memory now.

Initially MH's big mistake and also us the fans, was he expected to win most of our early games, with no back-up plan if things didn't go right.
He/we expected to walk over teams like Reading, West Ham, Stoke etc., as he Hughes said, last seasons performance won't happen again at QPR.
I'm afraid it's all too familiar at our club and we never learn, we should treat every game like a Cup Final, as the big teams do.

He'll also spend a fortune on another load of players in January, demand even bigger wages than Hughes is on now, and walk away in 18 months leaving a club with a huge squad and no forward planning.

He might well keep us up in the short term but at what cost?

He will only spend what the board give him??

Not sure why some people seem to think Harry Redknapp writes his own cheques out. He previously worked under one of the tightest men in Britain.

If Harry is not happy with what FERNANDES says he can spend at the interview; he wont join..
If he is happy, then it is up to our board to confirm what they will let him spend.

Harry Redknapp cannot bankrupt a team, a board can.

we could go mad and advertise the job, go for the best man not the biggest name. It's a new concept but one that might work.

For what it's worth I'd go all out for Roberto Martinez, he can't take Wigan any further and will leave them by next summer

managers dont resign anymore they all want their payoffs

hughes and his team of hanger ons will cost us a ruddy fortune to get rid off,the guy has been nothing short of a disaster

in fact i cant help feeling that we would have been better off if we had been religated last season we wouldnt have signed these extra 12 premiership classs players and might have had a clause to get rid of hughes quicker

Listen to the band play!
