A bigger factor than the points gap is the number of teams we would have to pass, along with our poor goal difference. Unlikely, but just looking up rather than down is quite pleasant.
Realistically, the challenges are that the squad is ridiculously thin and lacks cover in key areas. January's transer window wasn't that of a playoff-chasing team, but I suspect we spent our budget last summer. Not sure that gives real confidence to the players we have, many of whom are leaving in a few months.
Many challenges then for Cifuentes, but he's a hell of a manager.
So, absolutely why not?

Realistically we probably need 2 points per game and although we achieved that during the recent run we now are faced with playing 4 of the top seven teams in March and even if we can gather some points its unlikely we will get enough. I think Marti knows it too but we will almost certainly achieve or exceed this years aims which will be a fantastic achievement. I think the difficulty will be next season when we may lose some key players and the expectation will ratchet up a couple of levels.

Win the next 2 and I might start to believe in miracles
Changed to “Game on”. We’re here without Chair on form. He just starting to get fitness and form. And combined with that we’ve got Dembele back, who looked good earlier in season.
