Interesting and I wonder what the reason would be to call off the game at LR?

If it's a crowd safety issue, then I expect them to shut down Westfield as well. Which of course would never happen

"The oil, coal and gas industries are cleaner than ever..." I'd love to see the facts that back up that statement.
[Post edited 6 Dec 23:24]

You need peer reviewed papers to confirm that those are cleaner now than say the time of the industrial revolution?

Smokeless coal?

Huge regulations and safety applied to oil industry that simply wasn’t there 50 years ago is an actual thing

As for gas…. One of the cleanest sources of energy you’ll find especially when balanced with efficiency

But you probably knew all that.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Find it amazing how many people are suddenly experts on subjects they barely made it to secondary school level on. Imagine someone going into their work place daring to tell them how to do there job..

I accept that people should be skeptical especially in complex situations but to hear some people speak its like they are the bloody experts

You concede the oil industry has been 'dirty', and point to what it has done in the oceans. I certainly agree with you on that. But the 'dirt' in question here are global heating gases produced by fossil fuels that affect the climate. The burning of fossil fuels in cars, for heating, and by industry etc. have always put these gases into the atmosphere and continues to do so.

So, yes, please post links to peer reviewed papers backing up your claim in respect to global heating gases. After all, that's what the scientists working on the climate emergency produce to show that the fossil fuel industry is causing climate heating.

Well I've managed to get on a train from Littlehampton. With the wind behind us, I expect to be in Clapham Junction in about 20 minutes

At the moment all trains are showing as leaving Ipswich on time. Of course, this means that all of the yellow budgie supporters will be able to make it to the game!

We will be boarding a train starting at Ipswich rathjer than the faster "inter city" trains from Naaridge so that we can get a seat!

That’s the kind of tactics and strategy that will bring the Rs 3 points today. Safe journey.

Calling W12 natives, how's it looking there, any danger of the game being called off?

From a couple of miles away, having done geography A level twice, I'd say it's nasty but playable.

The rain is supposed to ease a bit after midday, and not that heavy now. Winds to stay much the same through the afternoon.

Would expect it to come down to safety worries about travelling more than anything else. Hopefully not.

I'm torn really - would obvs be a real disappointment for everyone going. But am I alone in thinking that a late postponement could slightly help us with Frey, Colback and Chair so close to a return but not quite ready today?

Whatever happens, the Oxford game looms large...

Wet windy and wild but can’t see the game being called off. However I am neither a meteorologist nor a match day official. To sum up: Not the bastard we’ve been expecting … but there’s time yet.

I wish, the Avanti 7:40 out of Euston. I was Invited to the last Merseyside Derby at Goodison as a freebie, a couple of months ago from a good friend of mine who has two season tickets there. Bloody typical.

If our pitch inspections are anything like our player medicals then I’m not surprised.

Has anybody heard from Stowmarket? What’s it like out there my man?
