So with the players we have available do we have to go back 3–5-2 or something similar?

1. Naardi
2. Dunne
3. Cooke
4. Field
5. Saito (LWB)
6. Smyth (RWB)
7. Varane
8. Morgan
9. Madsen
10. Celar
11. Andersen

So many of those players should be no where near the starting 11, but I can’t think of what else we can do. It is absolutely powder puff and shocking.

It doesn't matter.

We're still losing tomorrow.

The injuries mean there's really not many options and I can't see anyone - bar Morrison perhaps - being ready to miraculously return tomorrow considering the bench on Tuesday. I think you just need to go 451, choose wingers who can help the fullbacks, keep it tight and try to nick something from a set piece / hope Leeds have an off day. 631 in low block, 4231 if we get real posession (Varane and Field behind the ball).

Leftback is the problem. Saito has actually done ok there. Otherwise I'd have suggested Dunne who has a bit of a left foot...plus any midfielder worth their salt (shhhhh!) should be able to play rightback for a game. We seemed to push the boat out to get right back Rocco Friel in...suprised he hasn't made the bench yet in this crisis.

Andersen in for his work rate and set pieces, to be replaced when he's knackered at HT or 55 minutes...Probably by Lloyd for his physicality.

Nardi
Dunne Cook Morrison Saito
Smyth Varane Morgan Field Andersen
Celar

Sheppard Santos Friel Madsen Bennie Lloyd Kolli

Oh for the days when we signed players of Wegerle's quality

Wegerle and Ferdinand up front was some combination. Didn't see them together for long enough. Fantastic nine and ten combo.

Up there with our very best two up top. Is there a Wegerle Jr and a Ferdinand Jr ??? If there is, please reveal yourself "tout de suite".

Your club needs you, big time.

Skill, flair and guile combined with pace, power, aerial ability and clinical finishing !!!

Injuries have f**ked us. Simple as that.

Not that there aren't other issues and we weren't great to begin with, but it's impossible to remain competitive with this many first teamers out.

I think we’d be struggling badly without the injuries.
The quality and suitability of the players signed are the main issue.

To be honest, if we tried to park the bus, someone would probably leave the handbrake off.

I don't think I can sit through another 0-0 like Burnley. That isn't playing football - it's just passive-aggression masquerading as resilience!

If Dave Sexton isn't spinning in his grave, I'd 'dig down' and set him twirling myself.

Poll: What points will we get from our 'Festive 3' (Swansea A, Norwich A, Watford H)?

It doesn't matter who is in the line up, they will quickly concede a couple of goals and that will be it. Much respect to the 1300 travelling to Leeds but this is most likely to be a thankless task, an easy win for Leeds.
